It's a brand new book to celebrati SI's 50th Anniversary this year. The book doesn't come out until October 22nd but it's already available for pre-order on multiple sites. Here's the cover Amazon, where you can pre-order the book already. I'm loving it, it has many pictures that I haven't seen.

Sports Illustrated South Africa was shut down this year but they decided to save their Swimwear Issue. Just as a note all of these scans are completely untouched aside from cropping and in a the case of three images roughly pieced together. I think Sport Illustrated swimsuit should have their own forum, and have their own thread by years, just like the VS forum I been wondering why Victoria's Secret has their own forum and SI swimsuit does not have their own forum? It would be a lot easy to browse for a photo for a particular year, instead of going to each model thread to look for a particular photo.

Tracking The 2009 Swimsuit Edition Locations And Ladies Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition is scheduled to hit newsstands in a month, and as of yet, we've seen precious few guesses as to who--and more importantly--where will be featured. Hello, long long time lurker, (almost) first time poster. I wish my first long post (and thread) was a positive post, but I adore the SI Swimsuit Issue, there's so much about it that's great. But It just seems like recently the issue has been trying to be more like a high fashion magazine than what (to me) it actually is: a celebration of beautiful, pretty, and athletic women wearing less clothes than usual. It's Sports Illustrated, so I think an SI Swimsuit Issue model should look like she has some athletic ability rather than looking like she'd snap in half with mild exertion (cough*angelalindvall*). Does anyone have the swimsuit covers from 2000-2004? from sports illustrated in large size maybe like 400x600 or larger ?

So anyone have any idea the lineup of models to appear in SI this yr? I know that it stated Marisa Miller (Former SI Model) would be hosting the ceremony or whatever its called so I take it she isn't in it. Anyone know about Ana Beatriz Barros or Isabeli Fontana? I'm hoping they will be in it. I've told Neo this and will tell everyone else now, I would sooooooo love an all Brazilian SI Edition. Could you imagine Adriana Lima, Alessandra Ambrosio, Ana BB, Isabeli, Ana Hickmann...Man oh man that would be the best issue ever.
