I hope there istn another thread on this cause ill look like a dumb ass starting a new one My dvd player plays videos that are burned on to a regular cd(not a DVD), but only certain formats, i was curious if there is a easy to use program to convert these video files to the files that my dvd player plays? once again i appologize if this is in the wrong thread im not good at this forum thing

when i use mozilla firefox to get to this page http://www.askmen.com/women/models/15_gisele_bundchen.html or any other page in askmen.com in which you have to slide the bar, the bar doesnt appear but when i use internet explorer the bar does appear.but i dont think its micromedia flash player because when i downloaded it it asked me if i wanted it for internet and firefox so i downloaded micromedia at the same time for both please help

I'm going to get a new comp mine... is crap and old. I can't do anything with it. So my question is: What should I get? Mac or PC? It would help if u guys would give me some imput.

Yours truly's laptop came into grips with a most deadly virus last Sunday. Despite extensive efforts to save the poor thing, and paying well over the odds, this week has resulted in lots and lots of frustration and misfortune. Turns out, the whole hard drive has been wiped. Okay, that's the just the short version but that's the gist of it. I really don't remember many of the technical details but the virus split into two and hammered away at everything, making it impossible for the nerds I was paying to access most of my stuff. Then, things got progressively worse and next thing you know, my laptop's empty. Yes, most of my "important" stuff is backed up and thank God, too…

How do you 100% remove spywares/adwares from your stupid PC? I used SpyBot, Adaware and also McAfee anti-spyware, but I am still certain there is still some sh*t lurking around, imbedded in the hard drive.

I don't how this happens. But, of late, my cursor has been "out of control". Sometimes, when I refreshed a page, or click on any link, the cursor just stray... (Optical mouse wireless on a smooth optical mouse pad.) The cursor had never "misbehaved" before. On a previous computer (now dumped) of mine, sometimes, I just have to have the cursor hovering above the link and it will automatically clicked on it! (Mouse is rollerball, wired) What causes this? Faulty mouse or spyware/trojan?

I have a copy of the release candidate for Windows 7 through my MSDN account... It's installed on my laptop and I must say... the interface upgrades are soooooooooooooo sweet and it's heck faster than Vista.

I would like to surf the net from the second floor. But, the wireless signal I received is too low. The wireless router is on the first floor. I there any way I can improve the signal? CAQn I use a signal amplifier, on the second floor? Thanks for helping.

I have always thought that Real Player is the best media player that you can download for free. After reading most of the negative comments on download.com, I was really really surprised. Most of them says that Real Player is filled with ads, and spywares and adwares. Plus, a few of them say that Real Player won't run on their comp, causing their comp to hang. One even mentioned that Real Player is very hard to use. I have always find Real Player very easy to use, the ads in them are more or less equally annoying as the ones found in Windows Media Player.
