blurdk Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 is that even possible anymore? i need a few to upload to an online portfolio...i already got a few from People sound, but they don't have all that i'm looking for... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was going to say you can take music from your own CDs, but not for uploading. How official is it and how many visitors are you expecting? Lots of sites have music, I doubt most of them pay for it. Quote
maddog107 Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 Download DC++ or Emule and download whatever you wish. Just i would suggest not uploading them to websites since its a easy way to get sued. Quote
bar none Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 There are many dozens of newsgroups on the Usenet where you can get 1000's of mp3's for free. Try http://www.newsreaders.com/ for more info on this amazing FREE resource for music, images, video, or discussion/support groups on damn near EVERY possible topic you can imagine (except Turkey Basters ) get a real newsreader and be sure to avoid MS OE and/or Netscape. Guest quasicartes Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 Is it ok talking about things like this here? Won't the admins get into trouble if we openly discuss the usage of sharewares to obtain mp3 files? Quote
maddog107 Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 you should be fine, we are simply suggesting programs that are used to share information, what information they use them for is there own issue. As long as you dont post torrents or edk links to songs you will not get in trouble. Quote
Guest quasicartes Posted May 9, 2005 Posted May 9, 2005 In that case, then:Tip on how to use GOOGLE to do it.http://www.tech-recipes.com/google_tips851.html Quote
Guest quasicartes Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 gonna have to try that<{POST_SNAPBACK}>Let me know on your success rate. Quote
QueenAn40 Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 Bittorrent is great if you want something fast. Also bittorent lets you download full album if you can find the source... Quote
Blade102384 Posted May 10, 2005 Posted May 10, 2005 download lime then look for limewire pro, even if limewire shuts down if u have pro ur still getting free media, and if u want to look for music just buy the cd's its better quality Quote
QueenAn40 Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 I hate limewire... it never has enough sources! I prefer emule for single songs...torrent for movies and albums and or softwares. Quote
Guest quasicartes Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 Bittorrent rox!<{POST_SNAPBACK}>If your Windows XP is the old version, the late 2003-early 2004 version, Bittorent will screw-up the entire system. I found this out the hard way. <_< Quote
Ronin Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 Let me know on your success rate.<{POST_SNAPBACK}>works nicelywat are the chances of getting caught Quote
maddog107 Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 works nicelywat are the chances of getting caughtnone, since the only reason you can get into a lawsuit is if you are providing music, not downloading it. So technically the person that is going to get sued is the person sharring the music not you the downloader. Quote
Ronin Posted May 11, 2005 Posted May 11, 2005 so even with limewire i could technically share nothing but like a live acoustic version that contains no copyrights and download as much as i like Quote
Capt Snow Posted May 12, 2005 Posted May 12, 2005 I believe I read somewhere that the RCAA was lobbying to try and change that law, so that they could go after the people who only download, and not just get the people sharing. But I don't think that is gonna happen, as it would have already if it was going to. Until that day I'm gonna do what I've been doing. Free shit is always better. Quote
