Hello friends! Here is my 1st tribute to one of our members, Vanja. Although I sent you a request directly asking permission to use one of your images as a reference I could not wait for a reply. I was too excited by the concept. And started painting. In any case this piece is a direct tribute to Rembrandt and the phenomenal beauty that is Vanja. You are immortalized here as I believe Rembrandt would have seen you through his eyes. This draws directly from Portrait of Saskia 1633 and a ton of pictures I found online of you. I had no idea you were so published! That made painting you much easier than I had thought as I had many many good angles of your beautiful…

Interesting project by photographer François Brunelle. A collection of photographic portraits of North American and European look-alikes. Each photo features two look-alikes, who are not related, side by side. (Pictues from haha.nu) François Brunelle's site

I couldn't find a thread for him...and I love him so I am making one (I hope I was not wrong) Luis Royo (born in 1954 in Olalla, Spain) is a Spanish artist, known for his darkly sensual paintings of women and mechanical life forms. Flame, piss on it, hate it, love it, i welcome any and all comments on these two pics. They were a little too large to scan so i had to take crappy pics of them. These monster one is just something i've been having fun messing with, nothing serious. The other guy is a pic of an old guy. Anyway, constructive criticism is all welcome.

I was wondering if I should start my own business online Here's how it would work... I am pretty good at drawing portraits, if you haven't seen them already I can post them here to show you... anyway, I was thinking about selling some of my protraits online. I have been thinking about doing this for a few months, and I have worked out a lot of the details, but not all of them. I will need all of your help for that part. I have been paid to do portraits in the past and I enjoyed it. But I never was able to work out a price for the potraits... I have been paid anywhere from $10-$50 for a 8 1/2" x 11" portrait... and I was thinking about opening it up to possibly drawing…

Freedom of the Seas and her two sister ships will keep the title of the largest passenger ships ever built until construction of the Oasis Class ships in 2009. The Freedom of the Seas was built at the Aker Yards drydock in Turku, Finland which also is building the other ships of the Freedom Class. Upon its completion it became the largest passenger ship ever built, taking that honor from Cunard's Queen Mary 2.

The book's called Contemporary Fashion. It was published in 1995. It says John Galliano's address is Passage du Cheval Blanc, 2 Rue de la Roquette, 75011 Paris, France. Is this obsolete? If not, I have tons of others for anyone else looking. Some of the other designers listed are: Christian Lacroix Karl Lagerfeld Lanvin Helmut Lang Ralph Lauren Bob Mackie Max Mara Missoni Badgley Mischka Issey Miyake Isaac Mizrahi Vivienne Westwood Mulberry Ferragamo The Gap Jean-Paul Gaultier Givenchy Madame Gres Gucci Guess Inc. Was shocked to see neither of them had a mention, two of the most incredible writers in modern history. Hunter S Thompson is god In my eyes, and Irvine Welsh is the master of Modern Novels. Any fans?

Thomas Kinkade is America's most collected living artist. Coming from a modest background, Kinkade emphasizes simple pleasures and inspirational messages through his paintings. As a devout Christian, Kinkade uses his gift as a vehicle to communicate and spread inherent life-affirming values. It was while growing up in the small town of Placerville, California that these important values were nurtured. It was also during this time that Kinkade began to explore the world around him. He spent a summer on a sketching tour with a college friend, producing the best-selling instructional book, The Artist's Guide to Sketching. The success of the book landed the two young artists…
