And please, it was a blurry ass video we saw (and only saw her from front on and that is an illusion in itself for girls with abs/take care of themselves) and her dress the last time we saw her wasn't exactly form fitting, so we don't know if she's really "back in shape". Yes, I agree she looked great though for the short amount of time and for being in a bikini even!

Lbr, are you a specialist? Have you had a baby all on your own? Nope, that's right you haven't. Now I don't know your profession, but if you were in fact a physician of any sort that statement above should have your license pulled because it's absolute bullshit. Diet factors in to weight gain, but I've seen numerous woman who eat perfectly healthy and do all the prenatal exercises their doctor recommends and yet still balloon up. Josie Maran is a prime example. She's vegan, eats incredibly well, is naturally petite and has a good metabolism and in her first pregnancy gained 75 pounds.

On the other hand, from my own personal experience, I ate incredibly poorly in the first two trimesters, didn't do any exercise and gained a grand total of 5 pounds. In less then a week Josie had lost all the weight and was featured on the cover of Shape, I also had lost all the weight... Both different life styles, different eating habits and the polar opposite of what you'd expect.

Should, not do. Gaining over 35lbs from a pregnancy is generally not a good sign (unless you're underweight), it can be linked to several conditions such as diabetes or pre-eclampsia but healthily it should be around 25-35lbs. (My 25 may have been on the lower part of the ballpark, due to me being somewhat lazy when it comes to converting from kg).

Via NIH:

Most women should gain somewhere between 25 and 35 pounds during pregnancy. Most women will gain 2 - 4 pounds during the first trimester, and 1 pound a week for the rest of the pregnancy. Through the entire pregnancy:

•Overweight women need to gain less (15 - 20 pounds or less, depending on their pre-pregnancy weight).

•Underweight women will need to gain more (28 - 40 pounds).

•You should gain more weight if you are having more than one baby. Women having twins need to gain 37 - 54 pounds.

What's Causing the Weight Gain?

Much of the weight that you gain during pregnancy is not fat, but is related to the baby. Here is a breakdown of how 35 pounds add up:

•Baby: 8 pounds

•Placenta: 2 - 3 pounds

•Amniotic fluid: 2 - 3 pounds

•Breast tissue: 2 - 3 pounds

•Blood supply: 4 pounds

•Fat stores: 5 - 9 pounds

•Uterus growth: 2 - 5 pounds

So there.

Also vegan is not necessarily a healthy diet, even less so during pregnancy.

You can always take your issues with my not yet existing license up with the board, if you want.

Believe it or not, all women and their bodies are different, and each pregnancy has different needs.

You don't say! Next you're gonna tell me everyone is unique!

But guess what, above listed are doctors' recommandations, and you're out of the ballpark on both ends of the spectrum, so yeah.

And no it is not up to the doctor if the weight gain is healthy or not. It is up to him to ponder if it is. And if it's out of the above listed margins, he really should. Because if he doesn't and something ends badly, then I hope for him and his license he has a damn good lawyer.

But whatever, keep thinking what you want I don't really give a ****.

Might want to read the disclaimer at the bottom of the page you provided...

Great information and all, but just because a website on the internet says something doesn't mean it's 100% accurate.

Any other Captain Obvious wanting to surface?

If you'd like to point me to where I said women shouldn't see a doctor, I'd be thankful.

Also, NIH > "a website on the internet".

You're the one that is in essence stating that page is fact and gospel. If you knew the disclaimer was there then why even use the page as a reference source when someone else points out that weight gain should be monitored by your physician who can gauge if it's healthy or not? When the website you posted, states the exact same damn thing in their disclaimer.

How's that for Captain Obvious? M****

*claps hands together, to change subjects*

So, anyone know how to Madison?

Now, the serious question.  Or maybe not so serious one.

What do you think/hope/fear that the themes would be this year?

Somewhere earlier this year, there were pics with feathers saying "fluffy", glitter saying "sparkly", etc.  Get the idea?

How about something like a 1st grade art project?
