As a male I've always wondered, to 1) what extent to women shopping at VS actually pay attention to who is modeling the product? 2) As in, do you ladies just buy something if you like the product itself, or if the campaign model(s) look good in it? 3) Do you care if it's your fave VS angel modeling the bra or do you buy it because you like it? What takes dominance?

 

1) B/c I am a model fanatic I always pay attention to who is the model. However most people I know and from my general observation, people rarely pay attention to who is the model nor do they care.

 

2) I buy items I like or think/know would benefit me in some way. Sure, how the campaign model looks might influence me but it is not the determining factor for my purchasing decision.

 

3) I don't care who's the VS Angel modeling the bra. All I care about is how it looks on me and would it benefit me in some way.

1) I do look at the models, mostly because I'm a lazy bitch and I'll get whatever I see looks good on models with a similar skin tone to mine (i.e Lais, Gracie).

 

2) It depends, if the campaign is good and catches my eye there's a better chance I'll get that. But as Pinky said is not a deal breaker

 

3) I don't care about it in the sense that if it's Candice modelling it I won't buy because I dislike her, however I do tend to look first at whatever I see the models I like wearing but i guess it's mostly because they catch my eye first.

1.) Like Pink said because I'm a model fan I always like to pay attention as to whos advertised above it, etc. Also because I am a DiCaprio fan I like trying to spot his GFs

 

2.) As both above said if its a really super beautiful campaign it might cause me to debate it more or less, but it isn't a huge influence.

 

3.) I really don't dislike any of the angels, nor would I buy a bra just because my fav angel is wearing it. Essentially if its a model that I really love I just might wonder to that table first. But I visit all the other tables anyway. At the end I just buy for the product

1. If it's something like PINK I usually don't care too much, but I will say I did buy one of the lace back tops because Magda wore it and looked flawless in it. If it's into mainline I do slightly pay more attention to it.

2. Both, like I mentioned in #1, I bought the PINK top because Magda wore it and it looked great on her. Then again I also bought another top because the colour was pretty, a good campaign should get good feedback so it all seems logical.

3. Not really no, because the only bras I've gotten were all ones Elsa's worn so I don't have a good opinion on that But if I did buy the bras from mainline I would pay closer attention to which model wore it.

 

 

 

No I get where you're coming from. But saying that American buyers will solely buy what an American model or Angel wears is pretty ridiculous since I wouldn't think nationality would be an issue. I don't go into a store and go buy a product from someone because of solely where they come from.

Agreed. I see Americans want to buy American made products, but nobody that cares who the hell is modeling them.

1.Like some of the others  I am a model fanatic lol, so I always pay attention to the models even in other stores not just in VS. But I know plenty of people that really could care        less about the models though.

 

2.I buy things that I personally like and think will look good on me, but sometimes if the campaign is really good and the model looks mad good in something then it might have          some influence on my decision.

 

3.Not really as long as I like the bra or whatver I'll get it and plus there really aren't any angels or models I truly dislike that much to the point I wouldn't buy something because        they were modelling it.
