Maybe they were going for how VS hair was during the infant stages of the vsfs, some had curly, some had straight, some had wavy. Or maybe even the 2001 spectacular. 

They could have done so much more with it being the 20th show. Like they couldve "reinvented" old segments like sexy santas helpers, fly with me etc
