I had them with ham and cheese and also with ham, cheese and scrambled eggs. My friend told me these were very simple arepas though, and that there's a whole array of different filling you can have them with.

In the back of my mind, I've had a divine caramel cake years ago but I don't remember if it was tres leches or a dry cake. This particular cake had very sharp, overly sweet caramel (as sweet as caramel fudge) that overpowered the rest of the cake itself. The layers could have had more creamy flavor. The cream topping was good though. @Stromboli1 don't really like croissants that much- the filling looks good though
