Sadly I don't know ANY latin top models/starter models that I actually like, so who are your favorites? The trick here is they have to be mostly Hispanic. I was wondering about this because when I was reading, hearing and seeing different things about different eras of modeling and seeing things different from what I always thought. I never realized that many models from prior eras were like celebs are today, at mainstream red carpet events, real household names. My view of modeling was always that you had to date an actor, director, athlete or singer to get that type of visibility . But it seems that it was not always so. People knew the "trinity" (Evangelista, Turlington, Naomi) along with others...for themselves and that is somewhat of a foreign concept to me. Hello all, This thread is to discuss, via digressions, the increasingly surreal outfits of the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show - which culminated in this year's 'Surreally Sexy' segment. I'm having a hard time with the phrase supermodel because if you model a toothbrush even, it seems like you get called a supermodel. What's up with that? How do YOU define supermodel and who do you think fits the bill......right now, today? I'd just to see what YOUR criteria is for the name.

I really like clothes with sequin. No rational explanations. I just like it. "Sequin" was the name of an ancient currency in Venezia (Italy). It comes from the latin word "sikka" (which means coin/currency). Sequin clothes are just clothes with a lot of little disks which look almost like coins. I think that the word sequin is used in many languages for these clothes (in French, it's used for example).
