So, do you like Punk Rock? What do you think about it? Well, I'm not the biggest Punk listener, and I'm not THAT familiar with the genre, as I am with another kinds of Rock music. So it would be great to get some feedback and recommendations in this thread too. I listened quite some Punk though when I was 14 - 15 years old, specially the '70s Punk: the bands I listed in the poll. Around that time actually I started writing my own songs, inspired by The Sex Pistols. As for the poll, I listed the "first" three important bands of the genre, as there are so many other around the end of the '70s, early '80s. My vote there goes to The Clash Some music: Proba…

You can pick and choose if you want. Rock as it was then defined was obviously huge (and probably more diverse than its ever been both style and ethnicity wise, imagine that :| ) in the 50s, but I'm assuming rock wasn't as much band oriented until the 60s? But do as you please . 50s-00s or 60s-00s. Or just one and come back to the others later...I was going to do a poll, but I wanted to give more possibility, plus its hard for a poll to make it in the music subforum trying to live on 70% ninja voters . You can disclose whether your list is your opinion of "best" or your favorites or you can do one for both if you like. Hard, soft, heavy, light, progressive, alternativ…

Ana, or the rest of the mods, feel free to move the thread if it's in the wrong place. I need a small help. I have to do a homework about Human Rights. I am supposed to look for lyrics of several artist (most on them in my native language, spanish, which I've already found) that talk about Human Rights, songs against violence, racism, persecution and stuffs like that with Madonna and Eminem Songs. I've been looking for about 1 hours of Madonna's song, and Freedom is the one that's closer of being useful. But I'm not 100% percent sure. So I hope that any of you is able to help me. Thanks in advance.

RULES: 1. Put your iTunes, Windows Media Player, etc. on shuffle. 2. For each question, press the next button to get your answer. 3. YOU MUST WRITE THAT SONG NAME DOWN NO MATTER HOW SILLY IT SOUNDS. IF SOMEONE SAYS "IS THIS OKAY" YOU SAY? "On Top of The World" (Boys Like Girls) HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOURSELF? "Untitled" (Simple Plan) WHAT DO YOU LIKE IN A GUY/GIRL? "Move Along" (All-American Rejects) HOW DO YOU FEEL TODAY? "Welcome to the Black Parade" (My Chemical Romance) WHAT IS YOUR LIFES PURPOSE? "Bloody Romance" (Senses Fail) WHAT'S YOUR MOTTO? Just a little music game. Even the best of artists may have a couple songs that are...questionable . You might even say they're pretty bad. You might even like them because they're bad. They might even be so bad that they're kinda funny, so you really kinda like them Or they might just be plain bad and catchy so you can't stop humming them! Anyway.... Rules: 1. The person above names an artist and you say what you think is their best and worst song that you know of. 2. You can comment on any of the above names, but you have to answer the one directly above , but this is not a haven for bashing artists so if you don't like any of their work, just don't answer …

GOLDFRAPP Biography taken from England's singer/composer/keyboardist Allison Goldfrapp began exploring music as a part of her studies as a Fine Art Painting major at Middlesex University, mixing sound, visuals, and performances in her installation pieces. While she was still in college, she appeared on her friend Tricky's 1995 debut Maxinquaye, which led to appearances on albums from other cutting-edge electronic artists, including Orbital's Snivilisation and Add N to X's Avant Hard. By the late '90s, Goldfrapp began honing her own compositions; one of her friends passed some of her demos on to composer Will Gregory. Finding much in common in their musical …

Simple, what would be your theme song, let us know. Change to Mad World by Gary Jules Mad World All around me are familiar faces Worn out places Worn out faces Bright and early for the daily races Going no where Going no where Their tears are filling up their glasses No expression No expression Hide my head I wanna drown my sorrow No tomorrow No tomorrow And I find I kind of funny I find it kind of sad The dreams in which I’m dying are the best I’ve ever had I find it hard to tell you I find it hard to take When people run in circles its a very very Mad world Mad world Children waiting for the day they feel good Happy birthday Happy birthday And I feel the way that every…
