A study of more than 36,000 people from around the world concluded that musical tastes and personality type were closely related. The research, which was carried out by Professor Adrian North of Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh in the UK suggested classical music fans were shy, while heavy metal fans were gentle and at ease with themselves. Fans of Indie music had low self-esteem and were not hard working, fans of Rap music had high self-esteem and were outgoing. Country & Western fans were hardworking and outgoing, Reggae fans were creative but not hardworking, and fans of chart pop had high self-esteem, were not creative, but where hardworking and outgoing. I think there's something really captivating about cover songs. They're often atrocious, but sometimes wonderful, and more often than not give you a different perspective of a song when an artist can inject their own style and personality into it. So basically what I'd like to do is gather a bunch of nominations, then give everyone the chance to vote on how much they like or dislike them. I'm thinking that it will go something like this: - One song (two versions) per round - Both versions of the song will be provided via YouTube to give those unfamiliar with the songs a chance to rate them - You give an objective rating of the original song out of 10, on its own merit…

Rihanna fans are again talking about her, but this time it is not about her songs. It is her new look that had brought her into limelight. The singer wowed her fans with a variety of spectacular outfits as she kicked off her European tour. Rihanna's "Rude Boy" led Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart for a fifth week on Thursday, once again fending off runner-up "Nothin' on You" by B.o.B featuring Bruno Mars. Rihanna tour starts on April 19th Hallenstadion, Zurich, Zurich. She has been added her name to music's biggest show of girl power and she will be part of this summer's Lilith Fair festival tour. The R&B star will make a special appearance at Lilith’s Salt Lake Cit…

Queen are a British rock band that formed in 1970. The band originally consisted of lead vocalist Freddie Mercury, guitarist Brian May, bassist John Deacon, and drummer Roger Taylor. Queen have been described as giving the greatest live performance ever, producing the greatest single in history, and being the best British band of all time. They have released 15 studio albums, five live albums and numerous compilation albums. In 2009, the band's record label EMI reported their worldwide album sales as over 300 million, as did the BBC and other independent sources. Queen enjoyed success in the UK during the early 1970s but it was the release of Sheer Heart Attack (1974) an…

What are your favorite Disney Songs ? Please say who you voted for, give general favs ect. Also, as so why such and such may be missing I do acknowledge that there are of course many great songs but I don't like to overload poll choices (for the sake of competitiveness). Songs are also chosen and ordered by estimated familiarity with our BZ demographic. Enjoy ! Note: More Songs will be added for Part 2... *Edit* Changed to General Discussion .

The Beatles The Rolling Stones The Who Led Zeppelin Dear fellow bellazoners, I understand there are more classic rock band and that thses aren't the only ones. These ones are usually just regarded for being "the best". Please, do not use this topic to bash and say "Oh, Well those bands suck. You should've used...", ect. If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it all. Thank you! VOTE!

http://www.myspace.com/geminipl The band was formed after the summer of 2009 by the master Felipe. The idea behind it was to gather a group of creative musicians from different bands that could constitute an ensemble playing music that is sophisticated, ambitious and yet accessible. Musically, gemiNi draws from many genres, mainly alternative and progressive rock, pop-rock and trip-hop. The songs were recorded at a recent rehearsal. Enjoy. And comment.
