Rihanna fans are again talking about her, but this time it is not about her songs. It is her new look that had brought her into limelight. The singer wowed her fans with a variety of spectacular outfits as she kicked off her European tour. Rihanna's "Rude Boy" led Billboard's Hot 100 singles chart for a fifth week on Thursday, once again fending off runner-up "Nothin' on You" by B.o.B featuring Bruno Mars. Rihanna tour starts on April 19th Hallenstadion, Zurich, Zurich. She has been added her name to music's biggest show of girl power and she will be part of this summer's Lilith Fair festival tour. The R&B star will make a special appearance at Lilith’s Salt Lake Cit…

Vote for the greatest rock anthem. RULES and Such 1. I eliminated songs from the 1950s and prior because those are the songs that laid the foundation of rock music, so I didn't want to run the risk of them not getting the votes that their impact would warrant. 2. I for the most part eliminated a lot of songs from the 80s-now because I wasn't sure whether enough time has passed to tell whether some of them have really stood the test of time and grown to a bigger impact and visibility than their cult following since the focus is songs that go even beyond merely the parameters of die hard rock fans. 3. And BTW, just in case someone is thinking, "hey, such and such …

It's not a strange thing to hear these days that "Rock is dead" or that "Rock is dying". I couldn't disagree more, and there's lots of new bands out there making awesome music and revitalizing the genre. Some are going back to the origins with a more retro sound though still sounding fresh, while others push boundaries exploring new sounds. Both points of view with some great artists making noise. I'll start with one of my favorites bands of this era: Rival Sons From their latest album released last year: Open My Eyes I love their retro sound and that Led Zeppelin - Bluesy vibe they have.

Seen a few complaints in another thread that rock has died in the new millenium, but I find this is totally untrue and this thread means to prove it. Maybe some have this theory in mind, because rock is different than it used to be, not such mainstream huge bands to hit the charts, but it is definitely there. Spread into different subgenres of course, but it has been like that before. I still see important bands continuing to put out great records as well as there are plenty new bands of course to rock the scenes. First example of a pretty new band with a recent song: http://www.mtv.de/videos/24230871-rival-so...ssure-time.html but see for yourself.

I love some old 50's Rock n' Roll and Rockabilly. What do you think of these genres? Your favorite artists? And as the poll says: Who's the real King of Rock n' Roll for you? For me it's Chuck Berry. The one who really gave Rock n' Roll it's true form and made the guitar it's main instrument. He was one of the first showmen in the genre too, AND he wrote his own songs. I love Elvis and all, but the true King for me is Chuck Berry. If not, it could be Little Richard. Let's start with some music of course Chuck Berry - Johnny B. Goode As a genre it takes most of it's sound from the Blues, the urban and electrified Blues from places like Chicago and…

Sometimes all you need to do to make yourself feel better after a hard day's work is to wind down with a hot cup of java, a crossword, and have a sexy female jazz singer giving you aural. Yes, aural... as in ear f***ing. Also, I'm gonna have to be an elitist in this thread because well... It would be an insult to some of the singers posted in this thread to compare them to the likes of let's say Beyonce, Ashlee Simpson, or Jojo. No rockers, poppers, hip-hoppers, and such allowed unless they are crossover artists. Only singers who could pass a grade 2 theory exam, a grade 6 vocal exam, and can sight read are allowed in this thread. Bonus points if they can sing in Portugue…

This thread works by someone asking if anyone knows a band/singer that sounds like a particular favourite of theirs. For example, If someone asked for a band that sounded like Coldplay, someone else could say Snow Patrol, or Keane or whatever. So, to start off, i'd like to plunder the collective wealth of musical knowledge of Bellazonians and ask; Does anyone know of a band that sound like The Chemical Brothers. My knowledge of dance music is poor, so help me out here guys.

http://www.entertainmentwise.com/news?id=15246 A woman who allegedly shot her husband of two months while dancing to Shania Twain music told a court yesterday that the gun has “just gone off.” Linda West explained to the Winchester court that she was trying to arouse her husband by dancing to the Canadian’s song ‘Man I Feel Like A Woman’ when she accidentally shot him in the chest. According to Metro newspaper, she said: “I’m holding the barrels of the gun and I’m dancing holding the gun. “I was entertaining my husband. Towards the end of the record, when the record finished, I ended up putting the gun down on the floor to the side of me. “It just went off. It just we…

I don't know about you guys but I was raised with Montovani and the Boston Philharmonic blasting at full volume around the house. I can probably sing through every part of Berlioz's "Symphony Fantastiq"... Anyway, we need representation from people who actually have skill that's been perfected over years and years of playing... and still are open to new ideas. NHK Symphony Orchestra playing Berlioz - Symphony Fantastiq, 5th Movement If you couldn't tell this in combination with the other 4 movements was about what some dude goes through while high on opium... this was written in 1830. NHK Symphony Orchestra with Jean-Pierr Furlan as Faust and Sir Willard White as Mephist…
