I don't mind the departure from HF to be honest... I preferred it when they just picked beautiful girls with bodies made for lingerie. Some of the HF girls are just working the skinny-gaunt-scowly look a bit too hard

Sorry, guys. The segment was short AF, right at the end and it's mostly Ed bragging about the last show performances and announcing that Rihanna is in.

Commercial is the new HF people. With the rise of instagram models, any moderately good looking girl with enough confidence to post half naked pictures of her self regularly on the internet can get an invite to a Victoria's Secret casting.

 

I'm pretty ambivalent to the turn over. Kind of all depends on who they end up casting out of the bunch. Personally, I think most of the girls who attended castings are pretty but equally boring, which is probably why they are all such successful commercial models. Personalities suited to model and sell swimsuits at Macy's. I can't quite explain it; not a lot of the girls are giving off that spark factor that would make them stand out on the runway.

 

I'd love to see Madison make it though. She's like a happy medium between the HF-commercial spectrum. Universally appealing looks with an edge factor that grabs your attention.

I much prefer HF girls -of course the ones that have personality and flesh on their bones- because they give the show a classier tone.

I'd be rooting so hard for Gigi right now if her walk wasn't mayhem. Sucks that this new wave of girls can't be fhe whole package. The industry has sunken so low.

And why is VS so stingy with anything show related this year...it was thrilling that they kept us on the edge but I personally just feel whatever about it all at this stage. All I want though is for someone to tell me Naomi, KK etc are gonna walk. I'd sacrifice my left kidney for that to happen

Nah, like someone said it's pretty pointless because they can just register. It's better to just post part of a pic like Pretty did and watch VS people squirm.

Pretty is common enough- striking--no.  Striking is what the blue chip HF models nearly all have.  It is a safe choice for them.

 

That list is a bunch of commercial models (except Eniko and Sanne ).  The new HF models this year and the last have been pretty bad though.

You can still tell me stuff hooker    I agree it sucks everything posted here ends up on IG, it really does limit what we can/can't say. Pretty should start one of those group convos.
