As for Jasmine's fragrance launch: Keep in mind that with the exception of Alessandra all the other Angels are currently doing beauty for other brands, some of them most likely even have exclusivity so VS can't use them anymore. That's why this year the fragrances have been launched by non-Angels.

Doing event means nothing except that the other girls had something better to do ... 

 

Toni, Bregje, Jessica Hart & Emanuela are still waiting for their contracts.

Lais has STILL not had any VS event. It's a damn shame. (except Soul Cycle, but that's charity and doesn't really count)

 

I also wish Behati would go back to brunette. She stood out so much more. The blonde washes her out.

I mean yeah, her English isn't great but it's not THAT bad. Plus if she was with a few other angels she wouldn't have to talk as much. I do agree that she's not ready for a solo event, but she is certainly more than capable of doing a group event.

 

Plus, if VS never send her for anything, how will she ever get experience or practice?!

^ Well practice would help some but I just don't see it with her. Fact of the matter is, some people shine for the camera interviews and others flop regardless of time spent practicing. Why some make millions off playing professional sports and the rest of us just do it on the weekends

Didn't Lais' English improve lately? She was fine in the VSFS '13 interview

Pretty sure Adriana, Gisele, Izabel and Ale weren't the best English speakers too when they became Angels   I think Lais' problem is that she just comes across as too quiet. 

 

Then again half the Angels and regular models used, pretty much suck at talking themselves, and many are native English speakers.

I love this first pic. The brunette really did look better on her, and so did the extra lbs. It filled out her face much more!

True, and to be completely honest once you get past a certain age, picking up on another language and getting rid of an accent is just too damn hard for anybody

I have never heard Lais speak, so I dont know how "bad" her English is, but Adriana's hasn't improved for like 15 years! She still has the thickest accent and constantly makes mistakes while speaking/posting online.

Ale's on the other hand, is way too funny, she is trying way to hard, I can't stand her speaking.

In fact, most foreign Angels are quite bad doing interviews, but i guess it is all about the personality you are showing through your interviews. Doutzen speaks pretty good in terms of grammar but the way she speaks: gentle, soft, shy, it's like the biggest adventure of her day is to give an interview.

 

I liked best Marisa and Heidi as spokespersons, their personalities were just outshining everything they were saying. Same goes with Gisele, despite her accent too.

Candice can be very picky/lazy, same for Miranda. They are just trying way too hard to sound knowledgeable. 

I think the best spokemodel they have right now is Lily. End of the story.

Have you ever heard Laetitia speaking English when she was an Angel?

I know it was another time but, when she was on American shows to talk about VS or her book or Sports Illustrated

that was super painful to listen

^ But Laetitia is Laetitia... The bombshell, the world known sex kitten (not to mention an national treasure). Casta was the Monica Bellucci of France in terms of her beauty and everyone knew it. She was the Gen X of models - almost a 90's supermodel, but the title sadly was out of her reach (if she'd just been born a couple years earlier). Lais on the other hand another pretty faceless model from Brazil who has zero hype surrounding her. She's lacking that instant presence and appeal that Tyra, Gisele and Heidi had, and she sure as hell doesn't scream unreal beauty of Casta and Lima.

 

Lais is a fan favorite, not a world wide phenomenon, and I don't think VS cares enough to put forth the energy into making her "better" when the likelihood is that she'll bomb. Hopefully I'm wrong and Lais turns out to be super duper mega angel, but I'm not holding my breath.
