Anja is one great hanger for clothes. I don't think they hire her for her body though. More about them proving that they could get any top (high fashion) model to do the show. So that they'll get a fashion audience

track, I guess you're sorta right with this high fashion model thing, but Anja herself always seemed so unenthusiastic about doing these shows... and everytime I visit tfs (which is not too often) and VS is mentioned many of their members freak out like the company is tainting their precious pret-a-porter girls

For all we know, Karlie was never offered a contract. And I don't think Ana BB would turn down a VS contract. Is it a fact that she did? To me Ana was just another Olouchi, Lais, almost but never there. Karlie is getting lots of pennies from VS as she's modeling for them. Ana BB has half faded into oblivion, while her friend Alessandra is still everywhere, thanks to VS.

Yes it is a fact, Ana turned VS down. Again, not everyone is willing to compromise with VS, pecially not right now that the brand is obviously not what it used to be in terms of exposure/prestige for a model. The last superstar on VS was Gisele, and maybe if you wanna push it Adriana & Alessandra. Other than them none of the post-Gisele girls has gained that much fame or recognition thanks to VS. So maybe Karlie did get an offer and turned it down, but we'll have to wait and see what happens with her.

And yes, Ana was turned down in 2010 by VS when she went to the casting for the show.

I think KK was literally exhausted by the time she had gotten her contracted. She had done more in the years leading up to that then most models will ever accomplish in their entire careers, Didnt she work for like 20 weeks straight at one point That, the curves that she gained, and the fact that contacted girls then had more exclusivity with the brand is what led to her becoming complacent.

the Adriana vs Gisele debate again. Once again, even if Gisele is 'hardly' the most famous model in the world, I can't understand how Gisele Bundchen is not a more recognized name than Adriana Lima, world wide and even within just the United States.

and yeah, the non-contract girls often get hideous outfits for the show, but some of them get pretty lucky. I feel bad for some of the models who are actually angels that repeatedly get the ugliest outfits ever.
