Hello friends! Here is my 1st tribute to one of our members, Vanja. Although I sent you a request directly asking permission to use one of your images as a reference I could not wait for a reply. I was too excited by the concept. And started painting. In any case this piece is a direct tribute to Rembrandt and the phenomenal beauty that is Vanja. You are immortalized here as I believe Rembrandt would have seen you through his eyes. This draws directly from Portrait of Saskia 1633 and a ton of pictures I found online of you. I had no idea you were so published! That made painting you much easier than I had thought as I had many many good angles of your beautiful…

Interesting project by photographer François Brunelle. A collection of photographic portraits of North American and European look-alikes. Each photo features two look-alikes, who are not related, side by side. (Pictues from haha.nu) François Brunelle's site

Jason Brooks was born in London on February 23 1969. He grew up by the sea in Brighton, England, and began drawing and painting at an unusually young age receiving his first freelance commissions in his early teens. Brooks studied Graphic Design at St Martin's College, where he began working regularly for British Vogue after winning the Vogue Sotheby's Cecil Beaton Award for Fashion Illustration. While at St Martin's, he began travelling widely, drawing and painting colourful travel journals. Travel has been a recurrent theme in his work and his adventures continue to inspire and inform his visual repertoire. After a Master of Arts Degree in Illustration at the Royal Coll…

  5. I was wondering if I should start my own business online Here's how it would work... I am pretty good at drawing portraits, if you haven't seen them already I can post them here to show you... anyway, I was thinking about selling some of my protraits online. I have been thinking about doing this for a few months, and I have worked out a lot of the details, but not all of them. I will need all of your help for that part. I have been paid to do portraits in the past and I enjoyed it. But I never was able to work out a price for the potraits... I have been paid anywhere from $10-$50 for a 8 1/2" x 11" portrait... and I was thinking about opening it up to possibly drawing…

Flame, piss on it, hate it, love it, i welcome any and all comments on these two pics. They were a little too large to scan so i had to take crappy pics of them. These monster one is just something i've been having fun messing with, nothing serious. The other guy is a pic of an old guy. Anyway, constructive criticism is all welcome.

The Luxe Series by Anna Godbersen: Pretty girls in pretty dresses, partying until dawn. Irresistible boys with mischievous smiles and dangerous intentions. Who else has read it? Anyone? I can hardly wait until the third novel comes out! (The model for the second book cover is Taylor Warren!)

Freedom of the Seas and her two sister ships will keep the title of the largest passenger ships ever built until construction of the Oasis Class ships in 2009. The Freedom of the Seas was built at the Aker Yards drydock in Turku, Finland which also is building the other ships of the Freedom Class. Upon its completion it became the largest passenger ship ever built, taking that honor from Cunard's Queen Mary 2.

This is how I think The Punisher should have been presented on film using Tom Jane. Forget the 89 and 04 ever happened and forget about Spiderman 3. Here is my version of SM3.

There are only two books out so far but I was wondering if anyone has read them. A friend of mine said they are really good but I was wondering if anyone else thought so. I am currently on a waiting list at the library with 19 people in front of me and I was wondering if they are really worth the wait.

Crop circles are geometrical formations of flattened crops found in England and elsewhere. They have been found in wheat, barley, canola, rye, corn, linseed and soy. The phenomenon itself was observed in its current form after notable appearances in England in the late 1970s. Various explanations were offered for the phenomenon, which soon spread around the world. In 1991, two men named Doug Bower and Dave Chorley revealed that they had been making crop circles in England since 1978 using planks, rope, hats, and wire as their only tools.Circlemakers.org, a UK-based arts collective founded by John Lundberg have been creating complex crop circles since the early 1990s.
