unali Posted October 31, 2015 Share Posted October 31, 2015 I think it's actually the opposite, by giving the FB to one of their most famous models they need to promote it less because the name itself draws attention so it allows them to put their focus in other things rather than FB promotion, if they give the FB to a lesser known model they need to put more effort into it to make it relevant If Adriana/Candice/Behati get a campaign it ends up in the news everywhere (see their three latest fragrance announcements for example), Alessandra is now working with D-List brand so she's not making that many headlines because of her work these days and Lily never had too much of a steady career outside VS until this year. So by VS revealing the FB so late it means they know the woman who got it can carry it on her own, so it makes my suspicious of Adriana, Candice or Behati even higher now. Next week fittings should happen and clearly VS won't have that much time/people to put to work on the FB thing. Sorry but Lilly is much well known than Behati. Go to any article about Behati and most of the people will ask who is she. Even the fans of VS ask on instagram photos the same. She is nowhere near known as Adriana, Ale or Candice. She reminds me of the "sexy women" days of VS instead of the "bombshell girls" but she is too crazy with that #bodybyiza. Those abs seem like rocks. Can you imagine her and Elsa pushing everyone to be in front? I've read and heard some stuff about Iza not being nice with other models, but Elsa seems like a nice girl... Because I've been checking her IG and Weibo on a daily basis and she hasn't posted anything that gives hint to her joining VSFS 2015, coupled with the fact that users here mentioned that she took some time off from HF to take care of her sick father and dedicated time to her personal life, I doubt she's returning. She posted pictures of her and her designer boyfriend 2 weeks back, they were in Belfast I think. And since castings are over and fittings have started, and I also recalled Sui had to go for castings, the fact that she's not there says to me that she's out this year. Unless you tell me VS is willing to let someone do fittings 10 days before the fashion show, which I doubt is going to happen. Besides, even Bryan has no idea if she's there and he usually has quite some insider info. Fans of her on weibo are just as clueless as those of us on bz, but I'm willing to bet my money that she's not returning this year. If she is, one of you can dare me to do something. #omg why is Maud in!? She's got a good face but her walk and pose is just so bland, and what's with her mouth opening. I like her, but she needs to improve and therefore isn't VS-worthy for me yet, but oh well. good to know. It's a shame to hear that about Sui's father. I wonder where she's been. Her work did become little recently. And I also think they could have casted someone better than Maud but she'll probably do PINK again and someone needs to wear the ugly outfits. Maybe some of them will turn out great! yeah, but the difference with the newcomers in 2005 is that all of the new girls were big in business by that time. Maybe Andi Muise and Tatiana and ironically VS newest Angels back then (Selita and Izabel) were underdogs (but still were perfect for the show). I can't say that about some of the girls for this year's show. I'm mostly not impressed with this year's newcomers because I can't see any of them (even some regulars) would have been cast for the 10th anniversary show. That is the first time I ever heard that Candice bra looked crappy, everybody is putting it in top 5 of bras, maybe it is because Candice is wearing it, but I have seen news outlet ranking them by how pretty fb is, and it is always on top. And I still think that this year fb is going to be on the "cheap" side, and it is not going to Adriana or Candice, who are main faces of VS at the moment. When you see in past how they promoted fb, well known models/faces of VS who wore bra were promoted like crazy with billion events, weeks in advance, same went when bra was expensive.
