buhlack7 Posted November 18, 2007 for a quick read... Perks of Being a Wallflower thick drama thats a bit Gatsby/Fitzgerald... The Rich Are Differentchick fic... Persuasion and Jane Eyreshort classics... The Jungle, This Side of Paradise, 1984, Heart of Darkness, Brave New Worldif you've got all the time in the world... Anything by Tolstoy... especially War and Peace. I know it sounds discouraging, but it's worth it. Anna Karenina is just a soap opera!
Reeyo Posted November 26, 2007 -Harry Potter of course^^, but also Brave New World (which we just read in school and I completely fell in love with it) and some Ken Follet novels like "Hornet Flight". (Not all of his are good though...).-"Perfume: The Story of a Murderer" is definitely an all time classic-but if I had to decide for only one book, I'd definitely chose "The Shadow of the Wind" by Carlos Ruiz Zafón.
