While her face is everywhere, she is just like Adriana, and Ale were several years ago. Pretty face, all over vs...but no one hardly knew them by name...and when you put them beside Tyra and Heidi at an event or the show...no one cared. Esp when Gisele was there. They were the pretty brasilian girls. Some people were starting to learn their names, but mostly they were the new faces of the company, nameless faces. Because most people just wanted to see Heidi, and Tyra, and Gisele. Adriana was in Candice's shoes several years ago...she was the gorgeous new VS model, she was everywhere and people wanted to know more about her...but she certainly wasn't known enough or big enough to carry the show, or wear the fantasy bra...and VS knew that. Candice is being promoted as the new face and one day will be their star attraction but right now, while her picture is everywhere very few people in the general public know her name.

Candice like I said, while she is everywhere...she is not known enough to book talk shows on her name alone. She's not big enough to not be overshadowed by the music artist that is performing or her veteran angels. The public while they know her face, they are still looking for a name. Give her a couple years and she'll be right where Ale and Adriana are now.

So do I think Candice will be the lead Angel someday? More than likely. Do I think she should get the bra yet? No way, maybe in a few years when she can stand out with it. She's got a killer body, and I think she'd do the bra justice but right now she'd get lost in the shuffle. Sure she'd stick out to fans, but the general populace she wouldn't.

No doubt Candice has major appeal. I do think her time is coming. Not sure when though. It will take time. I mainly see Miranda, Doutzen and Rosie being the next major focus girls. Miranda has the celeb marriage and baby on the way. As does Doutzen with the baby. So i'm sure they will get the same treatment Ale and Adriana had on their pregnancy returns. Plus right now Miranda is a hot commodity. It might now seem like major but she has been doing a bit of HF here and making a name for herself in the industry. She has all the makings of a top model. Rosie next year has Transformers. So that is gonna be major press for her. Everyone will know her name if they don't already because of it. I see it being like that plus Candice. Not sure much on where Chanel, Erin, Lily or Behati fit into it. Lily has the rocker bf. So we will see who are the next major pushes.

I agree about Miranda, I see her being their next big star, and Candice following close behind. If the movie is a hit Rosie will be right behind her. But with Miranda being the only contracted girl out of those three, it's pretty obvious where they will go with it.

Now if you had a VS magazine and said this girl I'm sure it would be similar to "Oh yea that girl! She's hott" Again just like Adriana and Ale several years ago. A few people knew there names like Celebs and etc, but the majority of the public didn't. Right now Candice maybe has 10% of the public knowing who she is, Heidi had about 95% Tyra basically 100% and Adriana is about 75-80% and Ale is about 65-75% but it took them years to get there. Like I said, I didn't say no one knew her name but for her to stand out wear that bra and etc, she needs more exposure of her name here in the U.S. Right now, she's basically a nobody here, just a pretty girl with a pretty face. I see that changing soon, but give it time. Her career is following that of her veterans, she's the new hott girl, she's got a few celebs talking about her, but throw her next to her veterans and she'll be lost. In a few years I see her being their main star, basically taking over the show, and wearing the bra. But I see Miranda doing it first, because again she's much more known. If Marisa was around she would be as well, because she's very well known.

Wow long texts about who stands where but Candice certainly didn't get the FB this year because she's really not that known by name - maybe just face and body. And forget about considering the fact that KK wore it in 2002 without being an angel. By that time, no one really cared about the angel-concept and who's in and who's out. When it comes to Ale: I never saw her being the fb-wearer at any time. She's just like Izabel who can't handle such big thing. I also can hardly see Miranda wearing it one day and ... who knows Rosie maybe will be an angel by next year with her transformers-role so VS will most definitely try to claim her as their model and ... Ale probably will always be the "angel who worked for VS so long but never got the fb".

Actually, the majority of the public doesn't care about either one of those things. It's only the diehard fans that care. Most of the people who will be watching don't follow fashion or Victoria's Secret enough to even know the models' names let alone care about who opens the show.

^Before anyone says something, Modelinia kind of said half of those things already. About Oct. 20th and the FB event and catalog coming out, so you would assume the website would be updated then too. Before Oct. 20th though, there will be a teaser video of the FB on Facebook. Not actually seen, but talked about by Adriana. And then I guess after the 20th or on the 20th they will post the other video revealing the FB and then that same day it will probably be shown on Access Hollywood, etc.

Sadly, I think you're OVER estimating her. Most people know her face, but they don't know her name, nor do they really care to. To people outside of the fashion world, they are giant faces and bodies in the window they look at passingly, before going in to try some lotion and buy some panties for themselves. Even men, who have a knack for remembering girls names they are attracted to, can't seem to call her anything but 'the hot blond Victoria's Secret chick'.

Miranda Kerr is a bigger name than Candice and people are still like "Who?" until you mention "Orlando Bloom's chick."

^Exactly. And as much as we all want to believe that Adriana and Alessandra are well known, they're not. Maybe more so then some of the other girls, but not enough for people to actively seek them out, (aside from the fans).

In all seriousness i'd say if you asked a person who a Supermodel is. They will say Naomi or Gisele. That's the main names that comes to peoples heads. Some people might be able to get other names out there. But the general public don't know or don't care about models. Like we all do

Actually I wouldn't even say that Gisele is a supermodel. Most people on the street have no idea who she is. Even Naomi to some extent. The supers are sadly probably Christy, Cindy Claudia and Linda, though they probably aren't even as much of a super anymore as they're names are slowly fading from people's minds.

People don't know Heidi or Tyra for their modeling, but more for what they've done outside modeling. So the term supermodel is more of an industry term used now, (imo) to label someone who can successfully transition from commercial to high fashion and is highly sought after by designers/photographers and what not. But this is digressing from what the topic is for and that's for VSFS 2010 discussion.
