June 23, 201014 yr Does anybody know why P.Evra was replaced as the captain? <_< And not even in the squad? Something is REALLY wrong with France. However they're already out.. Evra was one of the main instigators of last week's training strike (along with Ribery, Gallas and Henry). He was also caught on camera ripping his captain's armband off during a row with Domenech. Something to do with a 'traitor' in the squad, whom Evra claims has ruined the French team's chances. Whatever next?
June 23, 201014 yr I hope mr. Evra along with Anelka, Henry, Abidal and Gallas enjoy their international retirement. Unlike Domenech, Laurent Blanc has a backbone and very little patience for drama-queens.
June 23, 201014 yr How's that for drama!? Went from being eliminated to winning the group. First time since 1930 to win it, which was the first World Cup. Altidore is a beast out there. and another disallowed goal
June 23, 201014 yr USA can reach the semi-finals (Serbia next round, Uruguay or South Korea at the quarter finals)
June 23, 201014 yr ENGLAND! Congrats to the Americans, too Though there's no way they're going to be in the semi-finals
June 23, 201014 yr So it's going to be Germany vs. England (...classic)andGhana vs. USA (I think Ghana has the chance to beat the US and make it to the quarter finals)
June 23, 201014 yr I was never worried... Although it cost us the chance to top the group and get a favourable draw in the next round, it was good to see USA win their game. After the wrongly disallowed goals against Slovenia and again today, their qualification was well deserved. We can worry about the Germany game and potential meetings with Argentina and Spain later. To be completely honest, it's a relief to have scraped through at all.
June 23, 201014 yr I was never worried... Niether was I, however you can't deny you were worried about there perfomances when in the later rounds it just wouldn't be enough.
June 24, 201014 yr Niether was I, however you can't deny you were worried about there perfomances when in the later rounds it just wouldn't be enough. The hard work starts now but at least the team is showing a few signs of life again.
June 24, 201014 yr ENGLAND!Congrats to the Americans, too Though there's no way they're going to be in the semi-finals Why not? Ghana and Uruguay (likely) aren't exactly insurmountable challenges. I like their chances more than England's, who will have to overcome Germany and Argentina to make it that far.
June 24, 201014 yr Ghana - OK, the Americans can make it. But Urugay - not really. But that's just what I think, we'll have to wait and see. And yeah, England is f***ed up
June 24, 201014 yr We should beat Ghana, but Uruguay has been playing well, they will be tough. I still think theres an excellent chance we reach the Semi's . . . thats unreal to think of.
June 24, 201014 yr I certainly didn't see that one coming. Both finallists from the previous tournament out in the first round.
June 24, 201014 yr I certainly didn't see that one coming. Both finallists from the previous tournament out in the first round. And neither of them will be missed.
