Plus models aren't necessarily supposed to be pretty. They're supposed to be striking. There's a big difference.

Casual reminder: Models are human, do not expect these women to look flawless 24/7 because it is NOT possible.

I've read so many times that Adriana is not that beautiful in person and all kinds of stuff, I adore her and I sincerely think she is the most beautiful woman I've seen but to expect her to look as good in person as she does while at work is unrealistic, unfair and pretty much stupid. And that applies to Sara too and every other model too, i bet you all don't get your hair and makeup done or wear the most flattering outfits for a long flight, to go shopping or your daily life. So find some chill for Christ's sake, and stop expecting these women to be perfect because that is just not possible.

I think Sara has lost and gained weight through the years but that is completely normal, she is 24 now and you can't expect her to still look like she did when she was 18, that wouldn't be normal, all women struggle with weight through the years. I think her VS work has been great from the start and her SI work too, so that is just a matter of simple opinions, but VS cares also about her as a spokesperson and not just pictures and everyone who has met Sara seems to agree she has the right attitude for it even if she's not physically ones favorite and she is killing it lately so she must be doing something right.

Wow. Never thought Sara was a knock out or anything but reading these last posts, I gotta say, I thought she'd at least have a face u can admire when you get to meet her. Obviously all these, models/celebs don't look quite as glammed up in real life as they do in magazines/catalogs, but has anyone here ever seen a model face to face and thought, she truly is a stunning woman? Curious!

I've met all the VS angels. In my opinion, the most stunning in person are definitely Adriana (the most) followed closely by Candice, Alessandra, and Miranda. Adriana is otherworldly.

I saw Elsa without make up and thought she was pretty plain. She looked very washed out and pale. She definitely comes alive with tanning and proper make up. Same for Behati and Doutzen. Kendall Jenner is also the epitome of plain in person. Hell, she's plain in photographs too.

As for non-angels, Cintia Dicker and Edita are fucking beautiful in person. Cintia's eyes are so damn blue and have a stunning contrast to her red hair and tanned freckled skin. Edita just has a face that looks like it was carved by a god and she carries herself in a super effortless way.

Regarding Sara, I definitely agree with the comments above. I think part of it is that she's so short. She naturally doesn't have that long, elegant, imposing height and body that models are expected to have. She's just super skinny. Her face is really pretty but not really in-your-face striking like other models. However, her attitude is amazing and she's a super sweet girl.

IDK how this even started tbh, so idk what the original post is, I've just read way too many times in this thread people complaining about models not looking exactly the same in person o.o

Anyway back to VS, Josephine was shooting VS again. They've been shooting so much lately and it all seems to be winter/christmas stuff.

I've seen a lot of models in person and even the super tall ones (Karlie, for example) don't look as good in "real-life" scenarios as they do in photoshoots. Tbh that's what makes them good models. They have the ability to transform themselves (of couse with pre and post production, hair and make up etc) to a different person. And in that sense I really think Sara is a great model because she's able to transform for the client/job - see her editorials on L'Officiel Ukraine and Dsection mag; and the ones of VS or SI or GQ. 

 

@Clauds I agree 200% with you, they're payed to look good on the photoshoots/events/etc, not after a 8h flight and after a full work day. At the end of the day, it's a job, they're not the Duchess of Cambridge...

I wouldn't be surprised if they're just shooting vday already because they'll make another vs swim special and stuff after the vsfs stuff

but who knows

They're using the same hotel room/set they used for Guy's holiday/Christmas shoots and I know other photographers/shoots going on have mentioned things about winter so I don't think it's Valentine's stuff yet, but yeah, who knows. 

Lais' recent set had fake snow and the one Jac did with someone too, i think it was Romee?

And Taylor's set from yesterday is the same where we saw Candice and Behati so unless they are doing the same setting/styling twice, it's still Christmas.

Pretty sure it's still Christmas. They had balloon's on Guy's set yesterday so they could be doing some New Year's Eve (lol) stuff as well. It looks like more playful and fun Christmas stuff versus the traditional holiday set ups they usually have.
