At least Kate tried, clearly she still isn't confident with her English, and like her sister said on IG her agencies are pushing her to learn English more. What more can we ask of her? It's not like she has the same background as some of the other girls? Modelling since they were just 13/14, they have had longer to learn English, especially when some are based in NYC permanently now. I personally thought what she said was decent, unsure of herself with wording but it's not like I didn't understand anything.

VS obviously didn't care about the language barrier when they tossed her a contract, so... They have 14 other Angels. Clearly they aren't worried about her for interviews. Kate will either be gone next year, or not.

Besides her English, she does good work with them.

What work??? I get that she was deathly ill for 3 months or something, but she has barely any work to show with them. I get that she's your fav, and I'm not blaming her for not knowing English well, but lbr- it was a flat out stupid decision to hire a spokesmodel who can't speak. Like I said earlier, if they liked her print- book her for catalouge, if they liked her walk- book her for the show.

Kate is getting married

Well, this explains a lot then. I thought it was her sister getting married.

How is her fiancé going to feel about her modeling now that they are getting married? Since he doesn't approve already and might want kids right away

Kate's been modelling full time for little over a year and has only just been contracted as a VS Angel. Most of these girls have been modelling for 5-10+ years so of course their English is better. I like Kate (obviously v) and I think she's trying to learn English since at least we can understand what she's attempting to say (her response at the VSFS was flat out I don't speak very much English), but this is on VS. I don't see the point in insulting her attempts when VS is the one who didn't think this through. But it's also not the first time they've hired women who aren't fluent in the language so maybe they've got a plan.

She's not even established yet. If they decide to have kids right away, it will definitely affect her career. Well, I'm not the one getting married so it's not really my concern. I honestly doubt she's only 25. She was already 23 when she joined Russia's Next Top Model and that was 3 years ago. If anything, I'll say she's turning 27 this September. 

 

She is still one of my favorite angels and will still remain as one of my fave models. I don't know what her plans are, but if it involves settling and having kids ASAP then I kinda wish VS took a chance on Kate's BFFs, Blanca Padilla or Irina Sharipova, if they want to develop a potential that can really flourish. I remember Kate said before she joined Russia's NTM that her boyfriend (that same guy she's marrying) didn't want her to join the competition, but it was really her dream and she knew that her boyfriend would understand in the end.

 

Maybe VS knew her marriage plans before they sign her. Idk. She is just so unpredictable.
