I don't think it would be cultural appropriation if each model represented their own background like ThePinkDiet suggested they do.

^ That is true, but there aren't that many countries represented though. I guess if it was a small segment that was well well-thought-out it might work. It would be like a mini-Miss Universe! Also some cultures and religions are more conservative so I don't know how some of the outfits would work without looking like a mockery

 

Personally I think they should stop with the ridiculous themes and just keep it simple by just showcasing their lingerie. Kinda like what they did in the the late 90's and early 00's (Y)

Yeah I agree, I suspect the TV deal and how big the marketing has become in recent years has put pressure on them to be more of a entertainment show than showcase their lingerie.

 

I'd be happy having them go back to the old ways but unfortunately I doubt they do that anytime soon.

It looks like the most recent VS pictures we've seen are not Christmas. I just went through their website looking for the Christmas cover and I didn't find it, the pictures are just from more fall stuff

 

 

And there was this cover too, but not Christmas related either

 

That's weird. Can't think of what's for Christmas then since all the lingerie coming out now is what we have seen being used in the Christmas commercial shots, no? And all the VS people who posted pics called it or tagged it as VS Holiday.

Maybe they are using the lighter coloured lingerie for holiday and the darker ones for this campaign for their fall quarter?

 

I remember the Insta pics with Ale, Karlie and a few others had the light coloured products and people thought they were doing a naughty/nice thing but maybe they shot two campaigns at once.

So the Angels' photo shoot for UK Vogue is in the latest issue. Taylor Swift is on the cover. I guess no cover for the girls. Bomber

Yup. I was sure it was Christmas too but i went through 48+ covers of VS and the only unreleased ones are those too and one with Nadine for BBV. I'll check this weekend again but it looks like either the pictures were not for Christmas or that's the cover already

 

 

 

EDIT: Just doubled checked and didn't find it the Christmas cover, so unless VS is planning to not leak the Christmas cover this year then the pictures are not for Christmas.
