July 9, 20159 yr That's a good question. I don't really know, I've never tested that But one time I made a rack for lunch and dinner and I ended eating it all at lunch without problems I don't remember how many ribs were in it though.
July 10, 20159 yr You seem to eat lots of red meat.... A rack is 12 or so. I can clear a rack provided that I don't eat anything else. But that would ruin the point. That place was good to get someone over for an eating contest of sorts...
August 6, 20159 yr This summer I frequently enjoy passion fruit and mango iced smoothies. I do this generally at night. :
August 22, 20159 yr I recently celebrated my birthday at a Spanish restaurant. I ate 2.5 times more than I usually do.. My Birthday meal: Halbanero chicken wings Baked Tortillas Avocado- Seared salmon salad Argentinian Chimichurri steak (rare) with black beans, rice, and fried plaintains Lemonade-Strawberry cake with golden rock sugar sprinkles on top. Mine was prettier than the photo.. Stormbringer do you eat steaks with this garnish?
August 22, 20159 yr That looks like Entraña Stormbringer do you eat steaks with this garnish? Not really. Rice is quite usual. Fries are relatively common, though not that much. And as for the chimichurri it's not something I add to the stake, I think just salt is better. (And happy late birthday!!)
August 23, 20159 yr ^ Oh thanks guys. And thanks for birthday wishes. The chimichurri was OK on the top sirloin- (it reminds me of chinese cooking recipes- they use something similar with soy sauce & sunflower oil as a base). On a prior steak I had cajun spices which worked better. Still, like you I prefer the steak with just salt. The natural flavor on a good cut of meat doesn't need to be tampered with. SB, I usually like rib-eye with lots of grilled vegetables. (asparagus, broccoli, zucchini, squash, etc.) I find that this aids a lot in digestion, and keeps a good balance- rice is too heavy and starches do not help in digestion either. On the palate the focus is on the beef flavor and it isn't interrupted by other flavors. In the US the classic steak complement is a baked potato with butter with a salad.
August 30, 20159 yr This was 2 weeks ago. Short ribs, beef and pork loin. (And several veggies my sister likes to put on the grill... but those doesn't count)
September 4, 20159 yr And I am finallllly back to posting food here So I'm going to be posting food from my travels (and yes that does include airplane food, because some airplane food is actually really nice) First off, look at all that ice cream in Japan, that wasn't even the full size of that fridge. All that Haagen-Dasz Then you have their chicken nuggets, they come in cute little packs. The amount of Hello Kitty one had to go through to find the food is too traumatic. This is Austrian airlines food, and the reason this is too good not to share is because this is the best airplane meal I've ever had Perfectly grilled chicken with rice and veggies with good noodles, and a wafer. When I finally reached destination I snacked into the Japanese marshmallows I got at duty free. They were some kind of luxury marshmallow, tropical and berry flavoured and they actually had little bits of fruit inside. Me purchasing Tic Tacs with Minions on them, tumblr must hate me. Pancakes by the coast of the Adriatic This is a Balkan dish known as "Ćevapi", it is God's gift to man, you basically get the meat (what the dish is named after) and a type of pita bread to accompany it. Burger and corn chips in Zurich Swiss Airlines is (not even mildly) disappointing. I can't remember what it quite was but I believe it was chicken/mushroom sauce, with the hash browns and the veggies. The dessert was some kind of cake with "ice cream" which turned out to be something more like whipped cream. I call this "go wild with the dessert at Singaporean buffets". Variety of cakes, one of the nicest ones was the green one (the one with the raspberry on top with the chocolate mousse on the side thanks to whoever used the tongs), it's called pandan cake, turns out it's made from a kind of leaf but it tastes like coconut.
September 4, 20159 yr And because I celebrated my birthday not too long ago, I have some pictures from the lunch and dinner. I had lunch at my favourite restaurant, and for dinner I went to a fancy expensive restaurant which turned out to be a wonderful experience. First up it's the lunch. Nice house made lemonade, and the meal was a confit chicken with salsa verde, wood mushrooms and smoked potato. Possibly one of the best meals I have ever had in life. Onto fancy restaurant meals, Off course a celebratory cocktail The first mini entree was tuna with beetroot, creme fraiche and caviar, tasted very interesting. Proper entree was a grilled squid argula salad wrapped in parma ham. Main was a Long Island duck, served with cous cous, turned out the flavours were a little too sweet for my liking. Dessert was a lovely mango puree, vanilla ice cream, lime meringue and the subtleness and the lightness of the dish was absolutely gorgeous. 2nd dessert was some kind of nougat with passionfruit and chocolate, it was extremely small but it was still heavenly to consume. And because I've posted so much food (there's actually even more on my camera, and I can't be bothered to remove my SD Card), don't expect anything new from me anytime soon
September 5, 20159 yr nice food, you did travel this summer. I think you would like JAL airlines food, haha.
