Guys, i'm planning to scan some pictures taking from Dutch magazines and post them here and in other groups! But since i'm new to the whole scanning pictures/photos part I was hoping to get some advice. I'm looking for a scanner so that I can scan in some photos/picutres from magazines in good quality? Hope you can give me some advice on different Models Kind Regars

Recently everytime I open a Word document, it automatically creates another document except the the file name is slightly different. For example, when I open the document "FinalPaper.doc," A similar document in a slightly invisible icon is created, "~$inalpaper.doc" Could anyone help me to fix this?

Hm, ok, so how can a person like, rip a video from ftv.com? I've been dying to download a couple videos there to my computer. tried the cache thing, Wm Recorder, etc etc..and now I think I messed up something cuz when I watch the videos on the page the quality is much worse, the buffering is all messed up, I dont know. Hi everyone! I have a problem. My subscription to Norton Antivirus ran out recently (which is fine by me because that stupid thing never even worked very well ) and I have been DELUGED by bad viruses lately that have been sending out spam from my hotmail account. I tried using the free version of BitDefender Virus Scan, as well, but although it claims to delete viruses, I always find 8-28 viruses everytime I use it. I'm not sure if it's actually deleting them or what. Is there any good unpaid virus scan programs out there that I could use? If necessary, are there any good paid ones. Pleae, I'm desperate for help! (I already use AdAware and Spybot, btw.) Thanks,

Ive recently run into some bad luck. Pretty much all my album artwork on my ipod touch has dissapeared! Ive tried getting it back on itunes but it says it can't find it anymore I don't quite understand why it can't get it as ive managed to get the past <_< Anyways does anybody know of any artwork importer programs that are on the internet that i can use that can get my artwork back from elsewhere. (that you know work well) Ive heard that there are some programs that get it from Amazon..i have looked and tried a few programs but they don't seem to work all to well. Can anyone explain to me how to get the full size HQ images off of the otto.de site? I've seen some of the stuff posted here but I can't figure out how to get the images off the site for myself.

DVD I recently bought won't play on my comp. "Your system is set to DVD region 3. To play this system set your system to region 2,4 or 5." So, I clicked on the settings box to change region. Message says: You may change your DVD region as many times as you want until changes left: 0. I have zero changes left, even though I have never ever changed my DVD settings (This regional DVD crap problem never happened before on my comp).

How do I extract files using this program? People say that extracting files is very easy but i don't seem to really understand how to do it because what i do is i choose the file and press extract but nothing seems to happen the file is still the way it is...

I have a problem with my computer, this thing keeps on popping up all the time and when I click Don't send it automatically closes all my internet explorers and if I click send or don't click anything after it still does and It's pissing me off I can't do anything!! Before it used to come up every once in a while but now it's like non stop and it keeps on closing my internet explorer! What can I do to fix it?

For some reason, al the pics and gifs that I try to save can only be saved as bitmaps. This just happened within the past couple of days. I don't remember changing any settings, and I'm pretty new to computers (very new) and am looking for any suggestions as to what to do. I's sick of converting them to .jpg in paint, and it makes saving animated gifs useless... Thanks

I dont know whats going on, maybe I pressed a wrong option somewhere, but I cant find it and it is really annoying. Google only shows me one page of image results, and I cannot go to the other pages. There is a blank in the place of where these images normally are. I'm on internet explorer (the problem is not there with firefox). Thanks in advance for your help.
