Legion Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 For some reason, al the pics and gifs that I try to save can only be saved as bitmaps. This just happened within the past couple of days. I don't remember changing any settings, and I'm pretty new to computers (very new) and am looking for any suggestions as to what to do. I's sick of converting them to .jpg in paint, and it makes saving animated gifs useless...Thanks Quote
Guest quasicartes Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 have you tried photoshop instead of paint? It's better at converting files. Quote
Legion Posted December 7, 2004 Author Posted December 7, 2004 I don't have Photoshop... I figure that it's just a matter of adjusting or changing some setting, but I don't know how to do it... Quote
Guest quasicartes Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 maybe you can go to download.com and look up on file-connvertersm if you are really in a hurry. otherwise, you have to wait for others to reply. am not that good at comp stuff either. Quote
Legion Posted December 7, 2004 Author Posted December 7, 2004 Nah, I'm not in a hurry really... just somethin that's been bugging the hell outta me... Thanks for the quick reply though. Quote
maddog107 Posted December 7, 2004 Posted December 7, 2004 I think hes refering to when click save as in Internet Explorer they save as BMPs. This is a known issue with Internet explorer, you can start herehttp://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?...kb;en-us;810978 Quote
Legion Posted December 8, 2004 Author Posted December 8, 2004 Thanks for the link Maddog. I couldn't follow the instructions completely, but after deleting my temporary internet files, everything seems to be OK. Quote
