So I was looking around tumblr and I ran into these... needless to say I was absolutely mortified. Sure we've all seen the little girls in lingerie before (O.o ew), then we had the Hailey Clauson debacle, but this takes it to a whole new level of wrong imo. The question stands, has the has the fashion industry gone to far in regards to the sexualization of children? and why aren't parents taking a more pro-active stance in their children's career?

When you think about sex appeal, which models/actresses/woman to come to mind? Edit: They don't necessary even have to be the best looking woman either or someone you even like, just someone that sells the idea of sex everytime you look at them. I guess I'll get the ball rolling, and say Salma Hayek. She just ooozes it! You've seen From Dusk till Dawn right?!

So, we all keep quarreling about who's the most beautiful, the sexiest etc. But what about the best actresses? You know, women who actually know how to act. Please don't count sex appeal as a factor here. Who do you propose? I pick Scarlett Johansson. No, not because of her sexy body... I seriously think she's one of the best actresses today. Her restrained way of acting strikes me as something quite rare. Another great actress is Natalie Portman. I just loved her in The Specialist. Just like Scarlett, she could act well at such a young age. She's going to get far if she keeps her current course. I can't think of any older actresses... maybe Meryl Streep.

So ive read this interesting conversation between thiago, josie and nina about models' backgrounds and it leads me into ...errr... curiosity. Jeisa, Gisele, Alessandra ... are actually no pure Brazillian ?!! Were their parents born in Brazil ?!! Theyr European ?!! Jeisa is err.... German/Itialian ?!! Ale is Polish/Italian ?? Gisele is German ?!! ( ) Whats about Raquel, Bianca .... ?!! After all, European are the most gorgeous people ?!! I see everyone labelled a supermodel these days. They could be past their heyday and never really did anything spectacular in that heyday.. ie: only did lingerie or a few cheesy ads and they are called a "supermodel". What is your definition of a TRUE supermodel? Who would you consider a TRUE supermodel these days? Why? Who is your idea of a TRUE supermodel in the past??
