Did you read Sara's last post on instagram? She's calling out Lui Magazine for publishing shots she didn't give consent to. Such a shitty story, I imagine it's only one of many. She's calling out the photographer also, which was David Bellamere who's really much connected to a lot of VS shoots (Haven't seen him around VS in a while though). I don't know about you, but I've always had a weird vibe from him. I've always thought some of his photos were kinda tasteless so I'm not that shocked about the news.

I hope she gets to win the lawsuit she's building against them.

no no David Bellemere was defending Sara against Lui mag. Sara commented that on her IG post. David was not the problem he even defend her . the Lawsuit is going to be just with Lui.

Oh, I missed that evolution of the story! Thanks for clarifing that. Either way, I still think he's weird.

I think it's pretty clear that she is... Didn't you read her post?

I’ve just read that. Poor Sara, she shouldn’t have been treated that way.

/ end seriousness, can we get back to talking about bras please

She is very naive to believe that this kind of magazine is not going to try to nude. However, if they do not respect the contract, she is right to go to court, surely she has money to earn.

Poor Sara. How utterly violating. Fantastic of her to speak up, and it breaks my heart to see her talking about how she's been pressured before.

Lui is a magazine of charm that makes a lot of nudes. It's a bit hypocritical to make the woman shocked ...

A contract is legally binding. If they agreed to her no nudes clause and violated it, they're in the wrong. She has a signed contract, so I definitely get why she's angry and feels used.

I agree she's right to go to court to look for money. I just find her indignation a bit hypocritical

Her indignation isn't against them wanting nudity, it is against them violating the contract and her wishes. They could have just send her away

it's hypocritical to pretend not wanting to do nude in this kind of magazines ...

:cain:

How is it hypocritical of her? She wasn't pretending anything, she didn't want to pose nude for Lui. Like she said, just because she's posed nude in the past does NOT mean she has to ever again if she doesn't want to. The magazine is not strictly nude modeling, there's been models in full on clothes in that that have gotten a cover. If the terms of the contract, which sounds like they were agreed upon by both parties prior to the shoot, stated there would be no nudity and they used any number of shots where there was some accidentally shown, that's a breach of it. She has every right to feel violated and seek legal action.

I can't even begin to understand why people think Sara should've known this and that she's exaggerating.. Wtf?? If she and Lui signed a contract clearly stating she would NOT want any nudity showing, then that's very clear. Lui has no right to just do whatever they see fit especially if they signed a contract with her, agreeing to not publish any pictures containing nudity but then decide to just do whatever they want anyway and ignore what has been said and negotiated. That's just plain wrong from Lui's side and NOT from Sara.

The hypocrisy comes from Lui. Why sign a contract if they're not going to honor it? She has every single right to be upset, it's no wonder so many stories about sexual abuse and other issues are coming out with this attitude that models are in the wrong for posing/not posing naked.

I bet the people calling her a hypocrite also think that if you got raped it was probably because your skirt was too short and were somehow asking for it. This was NOT on Sara, there was an agreement and should have been respected, end of story. I hope she sues the fuck out of everyone involved.
