I don't think anyone is going to leave after this show for some reason. I see it playing out as follows for the next couple of years:

 

Gone after the 2017 show: Lily, Martha, Ale*

Gone after the 2018 show: Romee, Stella, Lais

 

I think Lily is definitely gone after the 2017 show, something is up there. Probably Martha too as she's forgettable 95% of the time. I'm hesitant to throw Ale's name in there, I think she'll leave when she wants to and not the other way around. She gets a hefty paycheck for showing up twice a year, not a bad deal. As for 2018, that could obviously change but as things stand now, I could see those three being axed. 

But as one of those Victoria Secret confession page noted everybody was angry when Jo didn't became an angel, but now that she is almost everybody is hating her. People are trashing her like crazy, her looks, her walk, how she got too much in first year as angel, how they are sick of seeing her everywhere for VS etc. What a difference few months make, and I think that all of it is because fans of other angels feel like she will steal thunder from their favorites.

In that one interview that was posted here, Josephine fell into the trap of giving herself compliments when she gushed about being a Victoria’s Secret Angel. It’s a very delicate line to balance when a model has to praise how amazing everyone who is part of Victoria’s Secret is. The model is at the same time indirectly talking about herself. If she fell into the trap again in the segment that was aired, it could make her look like she is not humble enough.

Full long af show opinions. Like so long I hid it. 

 

 

General: 

There's some bad editing here, in the intro specifically, they cut to Taylor already coming out, then cut to Elsa still on the runway with no Taylor in the background. Messy unprofessional mistake. 

I really liked the glitter runway again. Keep it. Add more glitter. Add all the glitter. 

I really like the shots of the girls closing walking towards the camera with the light behind them. 

Watching it again now the editing isn't as bad as it was the first time - but it was bad the first time and most people are only going to watch this show once. 

Loved the lack of Kendall this year despite her being in a lot of the backstage moments 

The low shots showing the roof were great. Wish there had been more honestly.

Show Intro:

Nice but also boring af. I really liked it at first but it kept feeling like there was going to be a huge build up like the typical chaos we hear backstage and while they tried to stick some of that in at the end it wasn't enough - perhaps the music was overpowering it. 

Not introducing the Angels was a huge fuck up. When VS knows that Adriana's years are limited at this point and they NEED people to fall in love with these New Angels they need to make it known who these girls are from the get go, can't be watching a segment before being like "Who are the Angels again?"

 

The Road Ahead

Elsa - amazing. I loved it. All of it. Give me more. Keep Bill idgaf. She is the only person who could have rocked this. And I loved seeing how excited she was in the beginning. 

Taylor - I get what she was trying to do, showing off the outfit but I also think she needed to do it only half the time she did. They cut to a part where she had her arms down in the background of Elsa, they should have kept that run not the flappy wings. Loved her outfit though and I thought that her poses were strong. 

Maria - That outfit is so much. It's not that I don't like it, there's just SO MUCH going on (sorta a trend in this segment). The wings were maybe too big/full and the red holding all the things around her body together was a bad color choice. But she was cute and I liked her little wiggle at the end of the runway. 

Lais - That outfit looked a lot better in motion. Did they cut up the bottom? She looked fierce in it and the colors all looked so good on her. 

Adriana - Amazing, duh. She seemed so happy, like happier than the past few years especially in this segment. The outfit was okay. Didn't love it. Didn't hate it. 

Liu - Outfit moved better than I was expecting since it seemed like such a heavy fabric. I thought she looked really good going down the runway. 

Kendall - I really loved this outfit and I think her walk was decent, it wasn't bad but it almost seemed like she was struggling with the wings being too heavy for her or a weird weight balance. 

Ming - YAAAS. Her outfit was crazy but she rocked it. She really played to the cameras but I don't think it was too much like I see with some other girls. 

Devon - This outfit wing combo made no sense. None at all. That said, separately I liked the two. She was fine. I love Devon but she has never excited me much on the runway.

Cindy - Maybe the worst outfit in this segment, all it does it make her shoulders look broad but I did really like the sleeves, sorta seemed like what they were trying to do originally with Dev's outfit. 

Joan - I liked her little cape move at the end of the runway, the specks of glitter flying up give me vibes of old glitter runways.

Jas - Oo saw that "Don't touch me, B" with Martha moment during Elsa's opening. Might have just been nerves but didn't look good. I don't know what the hell she was doing at the end of the runway here though. 

Gigi - Her walk has definitely improved. And I hate saying this about girls but she really does seem like she has lost too much weight. 

Dany - Wtf was this walk. There were like moments it was okay and then some she seemed totally off balance. 

Martha - def tripped on the train. poor girl. Boots ruined the outfit but this was nothing new. I find her so forgettable. 

Barbara - She really made that skirt work. It was weird how high up on her it went though. The underwear was major granny panty vibes. She milked that time at the end of the runway though and sorta stole from Ale which I think is messed up. 

Alessandra - This outfit and the wings were great. I really love her and hope she isn't going anywhere soon, she doesn't have Adriana runway presence but she's never boring to me. 

 

Paris Segment

Alessandra looked uncomfortable. Jasmine looked bored/pissed. This is definitely reading too much into it but these girls have to be aware that there are cameras on filming them. Martha looked like she wanted to choke Jo, same girl.

I really liked the older pictures of the girls

I don't know if this and the HF segment are really want this audience cares about though. 

Martha had some vietnam flashbacks "One season they love you...one season they do not.."

Jasmine's side eye when Sara says she got to walk fashion week this year. Wtf

At least Jo is rocking that fake smile while Martha talks. 

 

Lady Gaga Segment/Intro

These shots were just all so dramatic??? like wtf???

 

Mountain Romance

This segment overall was just so rushed it seemed. The girls should have come out earlier so they had more song to walk to. 

Lady Gaga makes me so uncomfortable in the beginning of this. The way she stares at Jo literally makes me want to crawl under a rock and cry. 

I thought the background was pretty. 

Josephine crying at the end, get a life. I don't know how people see this and are like "aw she's so humble" it's annoying as all hell. It's not like this is her first show at all or like she's new to modeling. She needs to pull herself together. 

Josephine - Sigh. As much as I can't stand her, I know she has a good runway presence. OR AT LEAST SHE DID BEFORE THIS YEAR. Gurl wtf. I don't care if you're nervous this opening was a mess. They should have at least had the second show to cut things from where she was better and they clearly didn't which is what is so concerning here. Outfit was tragic but that's to no fault of her own. Good butt shot.

Sanne - The weird reach out to Gaga that was clearly unreciprocated was bad here. But that's the editor's fault for not cutting that. I think she looked really good despite her boobs not filling that bra at all. 

Lily - Her walk here didn't make me want to die. The weird hair brush back tho. 

Megan - Sorta seemed to stomp down the runway. She just bored me but I think there's room for improvement. 

Sui - Blinded. She looked good despite the outfit but I could honestly do without her there again next year. 

Leomie - looked like a bad bitch. honestly I approve. Wish we had seen more of her walk. 

Kelly - Those boots made her legs look really really big. And maybe they were just a little too tall but they made her look short too. 

Lily D - I'm so fucking sick of this girl. This outfit was tragic and made her look really boxy and wide somehow. If she had dropped her hands from her hips maybe we would have seen some sort of figure but. 

#BodyByIza - I don't exactly like her but I can't deny she's great on the runway. Her abs actually didn't look crazy intense this year and I enjoyed that. There's the hair flip, this excites me none. 

Stella - Her walking with Gaga she was crossing her legs way too much and I don't understand why, it made her seem off balance. 

Sara - She looked great in this. The bra needed to be a darker blue but that would be asking way too much from VS. Wish we had seen even more of her walk because the zoomed out shots looked really great. 

Keke - What the flying fuck.

Flavia - Spent too much time down at the end of the runway but I can't blame her when she was obviously waiting for Gaga to get the fuck out of the way. 

Romee - If you don't know the words don't sing along. I feel like we didn't see enough of her walk at all on the way down the runway. But her boobs didn't look as bad in movement as they did in photos. Would have actually loved to SEE HER CLOSE. not watch lady gaga sing some more.

 

Lack of Segment between MR and PINK.....okay......

 

PINK

This Bruno intro is nowhere near as obnoxious as Gaga's was. Him and his band just seem like they're hyped and read to go. 

Damn these girls so hype backstage. I love it. 

Yeah I fully 10/10 approve of this segment. 

Grace - She seemed like she sorta lost energy towards the end of the runway before posing. For her first time this was really good and I'm excited to see what she brings in later years. 

Herieth - Little nugget. So excited to be there. Great energy. I feel like that's what I'm gonna end up saying about most of these girls. 

Bridget - Yep. Same as above. She wasn't that exciting walking though being right before a cut Rachel really made her seem great.

Xiao Wen - She's really cute and I'll keep her. I think she is really good for PINK actually and would love to see her working with them outside of the show. 

Rachel - That outfit didn't help her frame. She was staring at the ground trying to make sure she put one foot in front of the other. I think Rachel is great in photos but I don't see her ever being very strong on the runway. It wasn't really fair to her she just got stuck in the middle of this segment though. 

Alanna - Also looked like a bad bitch and somehow made that totally work in PINK. 

Lais O. - Didn't hate her as much as I thought I would but ugh I just can't get over her look. That's horrible I'm horrible. But sorry. WHY IS SHE TRYING TO CLIMB BRUNO MARS. 

Maggie - Why did this girl get these wings? They didn't even really show her????

Brooke - If anyone they should have given her Maggie's wings since she works with the brand so much. 

Camille - I need more of her. She was so good. I wish they hadn't stuck her in PINK but she really got into that mindset and walked down that runway with a huge smile. 

Zuri - I actually think she had really good energy on the runway. I was a little concerned before. Her end of the runway pose could use improving but we're starting off somewhere at least. 

Lameka - I really really liked her. Idgaf what she said when she was 14. I like her now. She seemed a little rushed but the music also seemed to gain at her portion so she was probably just going off that. 

Luma - too good for PINK. 

Dilone - Where did they find this girl?? She is great. Really took advantage of the fact she had that runway to herself. 10/10. As much as I think Rachel or Zuri should have closed, I'm glad Dilone did. 

 

Josephine's omg dream come true segment

Shut up. Absolutely none of this came off as genuine to me. Just all super extra. 

This should have been a segment about the fantasy bra before BNA. 

They needed to somehow not make this all about her, when she started talking about the following they could have blended it in with later when they talked about how many followers all the girls have combined. and then about the red carpets and covers - that could have been about all the Angels. 

This was really just VS shoving itself further and further up this girl's ass. 

If anyone why was this not the segment before she opened MR?

 

Hadid's Segment

As much as I can't stand them, Gigi's stupid crying here seemed more genuine than anything Josephine has done all night. 

This could have been half the length it was.

Obviously super unnecessary but everyone knew it was going to happen. 

 

The Weeknd's Intro

Surprised there was no mention of him and Bella here. I know they broke up but STILL. 

Unnecessary af. Idgaf about what he does when he gets nervous. 

 

Secret Angel

Abel is really good at this show. I'm not a huge fan of this song but he knows what the hell he is doing on the runway and has already found that perfect balance between performing and interacting with the girls. 

This lighting in this section was pretty good. 

Adriana - Everyone has already talked about how amazing this is so I'll just concur. 

Valery - Cringe. Her outfit was really good and the first time I watched this I thought she was really good but I realized it was just the outfit and the fact she walked before Bella's boring ass. Another plastic face that can't really move. 

Bella - Oh Bella. Never in my life have I seen someone look so dead and lifeless at such a big event. I went to a viewing party where everyone cheered as she walked past Abel and I still don't know why...literally all the girl did was

Jourdana - I wish we'd seen more of her. She looked like she had her shit together and I can always appreciate that. This outfit isn't the best but she worked it. 

Cindy - Legs for days. These wings are so pretty and her outfit was really nice too. This segment had a lot of hit or misses with outfits. 

Ming - Actually looked like she was trying to wake up from a dream. 

Sanne - This outfit is a mess. Also she was nearly all cut out of this. 

Elsa - Wink wink wink. Hot. I wish they had kept that weird lace body suit off this. In her fittings before she put it on this outfit was so nice. 

Irina + Baby Cooper - Her boobs looked great. She looked good but I wasn't excited for her walking and everyone else was so hype about it. I was expecting more. This is definitely the better of her two walks though. 

Leomie - Her MR walk was better but she was still fierce in this one. 

Liu - Strange hair flippy wave turn attempt. Everything was good other than that. 

Georgia - I don't like her bangs but like grow them out and lets talk. Everything else was fabulous. 

Sara - Sara f*cking slayed this year. If they cut her after this VS is dumb af. I wish they had slowed down her twirl in post.

 

Adriana's a queen segment

I liked everything about this except that they tried to make Ale imitate Adriana like they both haven't been walking for 16 years now. Also the weird white box they were filming in...

 

VS Sport

Fine. I don't know why I wasn't more impressed with this. Just very Meh to me. 

 

Dark Angel

Gaga is better in this one than in MR imo. 

Taylor - Had really high hopes. She's not bad but she's also not great. I actually liked her opening but there was so much more potential so that is always disappointing to see. She almost looked a little-overwhelmed walking past the backup dancers.

Gigi - This outfit really shows how skinny she has gotten. Her end of the runway posing is a mess. 

Sui - So pale. It just really stands out with this black outfit. But she looked really strong. 

Kendall - Clapping for herself lol. This was a weird outfit to me in the segment, didn't seem to fit. I think her walk had a little more energy here. I know people don't like her but she's been improving and as long as she's doing that I guess I'm happy. 

Devon - end of runway pose got interrupted by gaga but that's not her fault. These wings they had here and then on bella and stella in BNA are really weird. Don't like em. 

Lais - Looked really good. But that corset is clearly stiff and you can kind of see it by the way her body is moving. I don't know why they keep covering this girl up. 

Kate - Can't believe she only got one outfit and didn't even get wings honestly. 

Martha - Lost deer in headlights look. Again sorta looked like she tripped. 

Alessandra - I already said I love her and I really do but she can't keep her arms down - maybe this is where Taylor learned it. 

Barbara - Really bored me in this segment. More granny panties that aren't flattering on her figure. 

#BodyByIza - Not enough of her here at all. This is where the editing got real shitty for a minute. 

Joan - You can tell those wings are so heavy, she's bending over a little to keep balanced but props to her for pulling it off. The outfit itself was totally unflattering though. 

Gaga (since she closed the damn segment again) - Didn't mind the wings or the walk. Would have hated it less had she done it halfway down the runway and be on there a lot less time with it. 

 

 

VS Angel Takeover Segment

I liked this one. Probably my favorite we got other than the adriana one. 

 

Bright Night

Bruno Mars killin the game. 

Again don't like this song but it worked really well here. 

Stella - Surprised tf out of me. Where did this Stella come from. I kinda loved this. 

Georgia - Better in this than in Secret Angel for sure. 

Jasmine - The fantasy bra looked amazing and you could see how excited she was. I don't really like her but she looked great and I am happy she got her little moment. Just wish she had gotten a segment about the bra. This was a lot better than her in TRA. 

Bella - gonna just start calling her the corpse. an even more upbeat segment and she looked even sadder. Like she might wither away. 

Maria - I really liked her outfit other than the shoes. I don't even pay attention to shoes half the time since I know they're a mess. She had some strong poses. 

Lily D - leaveeee. I actually would have liked to see this outfit on someone with a deeper skintone. Might have looked nicer and stood out more. 

Irina - Why did they put their two red toned outfits one right after the other? She doesn't look like she wants to be there at all in this one. But she's still better than some of these other girls. 

Romee - Her smile is amazing. This outfit was really great. This was almost better than her closing but that might just be because we saw more of this than her closing. I hope VS keeps her around. 

Josephine - I liked the little twirl she did, it looked really good with all the crystals but she really lost me with the dance. As if the girl wasn't already getting enough screentime. I still really wish the top had been more fitted around her ribs.

Kelly - Killed it. Her walk was so good here.

Jourdana - Wish she hadn't had to carry that bag. I also feel like this outfit maybe needed wings. All the feathers just made it seem like a weird sweater. It wasn't fit right. She deserved better. She was really cute walking back and dancing a little. 

Lily - Sigh. I wish she had smiled. This actually wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but she really needed to step up the game here. It's such an upbeat segment. I mean shit, even Stella smiled. 

 

Finale

Felt really rushed. I wish there had been more but I really liked all the shots where you could see the grand palais. 

On another note: does russell own a hair brush?

But I share your opinion, at this point double fb Candice/Behati in 2017 would not surprise me.

It's the internet, haters tend to be more noticeable than positive opiniosn. But it does feel as a slap in the face to other Angels that the newest one got a whole behind the scenes segment about herself and the likes of Lais and Romee got virtually no spotlight.

 

Lais imitating Adriana's walk was a really fun moment, though.

 

 

I agree, but people start bashing Jo as soon as they heard what she got for VS show(Swarovski and opening segment). So I really think that interview didn't do much damage, just people feeling jealousy and afraid of her upstaging their favorites.

Would you say that Jojo had the most airtime and spotlight? It seems like it.

Haters of Jo are just angry and jealous that their favorites don't have as nice of a body as Jo. They pledged to the wrong girl.
