Kate coming back and doing just a regular beach shoot wouldn’t have made any sense. Now Kate getting three cover versions is a different thing. I think it's possible that they were thinking of having multiple cover models like Page Six suggested (a younger and an older legend Kate and Christie respectively and an athlete). I can see why some models might find it unfair though because even if they had gotten the shot, they still wouldn’t have gotten the cover.

February 15, 20178 yr Vita, Rose, Barbara, Bianca, Bo, Lais are my standouts. Love their shots. Ive loved Hannah D for so long but her big boob job just ruined her for me a bit. Also a little disappointed with the Hannah F shoot but that's thanks to Yu being the photographer. I think this issue looks a lot better then last year. Wish Emily D was there over Kate Bock. Also although the boob job is still horrible did Samantha get them fixed? The boob on the right doesn't look high up and out of place anymore
February 15, 20178 yr I can smell more desperation from Kate's side here. @Stromboli1 Ben Watt's shots are the best imo. I love their colors. Barbara has like 4 photos at least what would be great for cover.

I also like Hailey Clauson, Kelly Gale,Samantha Hoopes, Kate Upton, Ana de Paula and Vita Sidorkina's shoot. Chrissy Teigen, Nina Agdal and Hannah Jeter were a big disappointment for me. (But Hannah at least had few good shoots. The stylist messed her up).
