Turkey is as safe as any european capital, Istanbul is a very beautiful place, I have been there myself and it's better than Paris, cheaper too That sounds very condescending AND paranoid. I dont think I owe YOU any explanation, but still to clarify, I meant 'not safe' AT THE MOMENT!
