October 11, 20168 yr VS has a certain aesthetic that they rely on. Vita did actually gain 'too much' weight for their aesthetic and is cutting down now. It may not be completely a body image issue. Erin Heatherton was fired for being 'overweight' for their low standards when she looked the best she ever did in her final shoots.

There's something up with Erin in her private life that has affected her career more than weight issues. Although, I do agree that VS push their models to be thin, I doubt that was the only reason them and Erin went separate ways. As far as VS not commenting on what Erin said, why would they? They don't care and Erin doesn't have big enough voice in media to cause any damage to their brand.
