My aunt & my mom know her dad very well. He's another one that's border line racist.

They said her Dad but I guess they assumed she is too and it grew legs. I've detected a lot of things about Candice(bitch, catty, stuck up) but racist isn't one of them unless she hides it well.

Talks about her making fun of a Brazilian accent etc. is a little confusing because her boyfriend is Brazilian. So it leads me to wonder whether Candice has heard something more because she knows Portuguese or because she thinks she knows how cool Brazilians behave and she feels like Adriana / whomever don't fit the part?

Out of all the girls, I would say that Lily seems to be the nicest consistently. You can just tell she is so happy and honored to be an Angel.

You know, if she had in fact said or done something racist, then these rumor would be justified.

However, these rumors are merely based on the fact that she's white and from South Africa, Mooi River in particular.

I'm well aware that there a huge racism issues in South Africa, but despite that not every single citizen is a racist.

Quite the contrary: It's racist to assume that somebody is racist just because of their heritage.

I'm from Germany and I know what it's like to be always stigmatized as racist simply due to my nationality.

That's why I have a low opinion of such baseless accusations.

And even if Candice did make fun of Adriana's accent, I think it was not because she's racist.

I mean, her long-term boyfriend is from Brazil, she learned Portuguese and always spends a lot of time there.

A little bit too much love for a country she allegedly despises, isn't it?

So if she made fun of Adriana's accent, then because people draw on every feature the hated nemesis can offer.

You simply clutch at every straw if you want to paint somebody's name black. (Especially if there isn't really something to pick on...)

Have you guys heard of The Bling Ring by Sofia Coppola? It's based on a case about these teenagers who would target celebrities' homes. Orlando's and Miranda's home was also burglarized.

Excerpts from a Vanity Fair article about the case:

Now the writer has a book coming out and she was interview for an article titled: Nancy Jo Sales on Her New Book, The Bling Ring, and Why the Band of Teenage Thieves Stole Miranda Kerr’s Underwear

The book gives much more detail of the branding and look of certain expensive tween-marketed merchandise. I’m thinking about when you describe the connection between Victoria Secret’s Pink line and why Victoria’s Secret model Miranda Kerr was a target for the Bling Ring.

It’s really alarming to find out, through doing the research for the book, about the explosion of teen and even child lingerie. That market has become a billion-dollar market. Like teddies for teenagers—it’s so disturbing. Their obsession with underwear had something to do with this whole “pornification” thing. They wanted to look sexy. Looking sexy in a celebrity’s clothes, well that’s even sexier. Especially Miranda Kerr, who’s a Victoria’s Secret model. The fact that they stole the underwear just seems so weird, but it’s not weird when you think about it, because they’re growing up at a time when their culture is constantly telling them to be sexy. Everything from toys to video games to music to fashion is hypersexualized for girls. Stealing their underwear was part of a whole trend to emulate these celebrities. They don’t just want expensive underwear; they want Paris Hilton’s underwear.

There seemed to be tension between the girls, just look at the body language. And Candice misses the ending but they didn't try to shoot it again... I would actually love to know how things are really behind the scenes. Like I remember how Miranda and Rosie seemed to be really good friends, sharing a birthday party etc. but later that seemed to disappear.
