July 25, 201410 yr Karlie is shooting today. Finally! Happy she's shooting. So out of all the angels, is Behati the only one (except Doutzen, of course) who hasn't shot holiday? I assume she's on her honeymoon? And also, has the Fantasy Bra already been shot? Or is it part of the holiday shootings going on now? I'm guessing that if Lindsay doesn't shoot holiday she is officially done as an angel for VS?

Yikes, this isn't sounding too good for Lindsay and her future with VS. If it happens the Angel lineup will be way too brunette and similar, might need some Elsa to spice it up.
July 25, 201410 yr I'm pretty sure Elsa is basically taking Lindsay's spot. I'm still not even sure what Martha's status is. I'm hoping she's just a 'temporary Doutzen' while Doutzen was pregnant. I've also noticed that the angel line-up is become less and less American too. VS signed so many American girls a few years ago (Erin, Chanel, Lindsay) and now they are all leaving and it's going back to how it was before with the foreign angels dominating the US models (Adriana, Gisele, Alessandra, Izabel, KK, Doutzen, Heidi vs Tyra, Marisa).

July 25, 201410 yr I've had a feeling this was Adriana's last show for years. Eventually, I'll be right. All kidding aside, it definitely feels that way, they had her do the London thing, then they emphasized her b-day way more than the other girls, she may or may not have a third FB and now that. It definitely has a huge send off feel. Especially considering how VS has been promoting the hell of Behati (Mrs Adam Levine), Candice (Maxim Hot 100 #1) and Lily (SI cover girl). I'm feeling Adriana and Lindsay going this year, maybe Alessandra and Karlie next year, Behati and Candice being the new Stéphanie+Karen/Tyra+Heidi/Adriana+Alessandra and Martha and Elsa becoming Angels within the next year and a half if they don't blow it. Which would leave us with Doutzen, Behati, Candice, Lily, Elsa & Martha. And re: VS hiring American girls, VS is an American brand. When Tyra left and they had no American Angel (and 4 Brazilian ones) at the 2006 VSFS it caused a mild controversy which resulted in them pulling Marisa out of their behinds, so yeah, I'm pretty sure they're not gonna do that again and will make sure to always have an American on the roster from now on.
July 25, 201410 yr They used Lindsey so poorly. So much potential VS never bothered to try and tap into. I'm still hoping Elsa makes Angel by the end of the year, and I'm really rooting for Lais too, although a non-white Angel seems to be a pipe dream at this point.

So this wouldn't be the first time VS does this with her. And they did say it was a queen outfit.. It was just stupid because they gave candice the royal fantasy bra I know ed loves adriana, but I honestly think this is her last year. I really do. Her contract expires next year, and I think that is why adriana has been working the way she has. Contracts do expire before the fashion show, and hell, adriana has been there for a very long time.. I think even she realizes that. So I say its her last year
July 26, 201410 yr I am so sick of hearing about the British Invasion, clearly no one knows their history or are willing to read up on it. It's nothing to do with the Queen of England, nor was it even remotely a take on any of her outfits. It's an old English tradition that the "lower" classes used to do. They were originally market traders, and they elected "kings", titular leaders, from each specific trade (be it fishmongers, butchers, ironmongers, fruit and veg sellers etc) to represent them as an early form of trade-unionism. They would look after each other in hard times and collect money for those who had lost their trading pitches or were ill. They dressed to attract attention, and their wives became the "queens". This gradually morphed into a specific form of charity, one that still exists today in London. They are NOT rich or actual royalty in any sense, the clothing is deliberately showy but cheap, but is now just a signifier of this old-practice and carried on by it's descendants... I guess the article is by someone equally ill-informed. If Behati is to "guard" anyone in this segment then it will still be Candice. From what I can see of her outfit it is an homage to the (British) Queen's Life Guard who are tasked with protecting Royal residencies; Candice is wearing the 'Royal Fantasy Bra' and now even has a natty little crown to perch sillily on her head! The Queen and a Pearly King/Queen are not in any way related. What VS might do with this is anyone's guess - and I have no idea about the segment's order obviously - but you are all barking up the wrong tree if you think this means some sort of grand entrance for Adriana proceeded by her minions! I hope this clear the outfit up? Just give it up. It's irritating.
