January 2, 20232 yr I guess we just underestimate the audience there is for the Avatar franchise? I hadn't expected the sequel to be a huge success either. You have to consider the long period of time in between the two films too.

Yes, I've seen the 1st one, but I don't remember much of the movie I liked it, but it was more for its CGI than anything else. Wokeness has damaged the movie industry way more than Covid. I know lots of directors use covid as a cover up, but if they were less dogmatic and political, more people would watch their movies. The story in the 1st one was cute. Not very elaborate, but at least there was some ideas IIRC.
