Wow the ratings did much better then previous years. Hmmm so what does this mean the same thing will happen next year. I'm pretty sure they wont do another model search. But they aint gonna change if their ratings increased. Its still gonna be the same type of show.

The ratings are in. The show had 8.3 million viewers (second to "The Biggest Loser" for the time-slot ), compared to 8.7 in 2008 and 7.4 in 2007.

That's not too bad. It's not down that much from last year and still higher than the low points of 2006 and 2007.

More thoughts on the show after re-watching today:

- I'm not feeling the Abbey Love either. It screamed of "Give me a contract VS."

- The BEP opening was so big that I don't think the George Michael thing would have really worked. I like the idea of the footage that they did use - the backstage shots and saying the models names was something different. They just should have held the models' faces just a little bit longer, and they should have had the angel-nobodies film something too instead of mixing in runway footage of them. It clearly seems to be a last minute decision to add the five of them (Rosie, Candice, Lindsay, Erin, and Behati) in the opening credits.

- The show is so much better when you watch it without the model search segments.

- The music wasn't the best, but the only song that I really didn't like was "Happy"... They could have come with something better than that, but the final segment lacked cohesiveness in general with the mish-mash of outfits.

- The Lacie commercial reminded me of the SAS sale commercial with Oluchi, Heidi, etc.

I'm really disappointed in the show this year it really sucked. The runway segments were good and the music was good. The model search took up half the show and I'm pissed off at the person or persons who came up with that idea. Not enough backstage footage for me and not enough screen time for the "real" models. I use to like the BEP but Fergie is getting my nerves with her off tune self. They need someone good next year. The crowd was the another issue. I felt like I was watching a concert with all the glow sticks. I did like the commericals this year except the Lacie one. I think I had a seizure after watching that. Holiday Commercial was the best.

Models I loved-

Candice- she looked flawless and worked that joker outfit. She even pulled it off when she ran into the mirror.

Rosie- she had really good outfits for once and looked gorgeous

Abbey- I loved abbey this year dispite all the haters. All I have to say is at least she wasn't boring as hell as some girls were. her dancing was my favorite part

Maryna- looking hot with that yellow outfit. work it girl

Lindsay- looked really cute and I loved her little red ridinghood outfit

Heather- loved her pink outfit and the ballon wings. very cute

Anna J- I loved her. no pointing or weird arm waving she was really good

Caroline T-she was great as always loved her wings

And the rest of the girls did ok nothing to exciting

Behati- I love her but I forgot she was even in the show. Not really her fault since they only gave her 1 outfit and no air time

Ale- Why am I not surprised her opening was boring? And what is with the curtain rod they made her wear. Please Ale don't open another show

Heidi- I wish she would of skipped it this year. That outfit they gave her was UGLY. Hopefully she will retire next year.

Model Search chick- keep the mouth closed when walking, it makes you look like you're waiting for something. It was all about her the whole show. did not like that

Chanel- Wasn't as bad as I thought she would be but I still don't get why she threw her purse in the crowd.

And then they were off, in a flurry of (my personal Bête Noire) idiotic and forever repetive voices-off stating the obvious, and in-your-face BEP nonsense. Hey, fellas - GET OUT OF THE BLOODY WAY there are models 'modelling' and all I can see is you walking in front of them and pulling silly faces.

"I've been called the Master of the Ass" - Yeah, I'll just bet you have! And a hundred other things behind your back, Ass-Master...

"This woman - she's had a baby... It's out of control."

Why did Behati only get one outfit, while woman who weren't a focus get more? Baron also wants to know....

^You're not wrong Pretty! But then again we didn't really get to see anybody really, saving the omnipresent Kluminator - and those tedious Model Search girls.

Incidentally, why did they bother with that pre-amble? Why not automatically cut it down to the two blonde girls with the biggest tits if they were going to persevere with this 'voting' guff. Did you, like me, look at those two groups of five rather forlornly - knowing immediately who was going home? "OK, all us ethnic types are over here together - I'm, like, totally sure we're the five going through..."

And then, when Kylie-Linn or whatever she was called (as if that's ever going to be worth putting to memory!) won, it was treated like the Second-Coming: "She's moving, she's moving, she's moving" (glad to see the triplicate assault back!) I hadn't realized she had previously been in a coma...

I didn't really go for the flat-hair thing either. I didn't think Candice looked all that (and I adore her otherwise), and I also remain immune to the charms of Abbey Lee . The PINK girls were saddled with some absolute Horror-Show outfits, but Eniko looked cute. Aside from Behati, who did a good enough job with what she had(!) the ladies who caught the Baron's attention were Rosie and Edita.

And mbinebri, you must be a bigger man than I, because I did have a little laugh at the total non-presence of one Adriana Lima. As shit as this undoubtedly was, it did have a positive in that I didn't have to sit through it with her gurning and gesticulating wildly on the screen to demand my attention... (Y)

Oh, and Kylie - let me introduce you to Katie Wile and Deanna Miller. You have much to discuss!

Finally:

Just finished watching the show...

I'm a little disappointed . I was expecting a better show, because I think the outfits this year were good, even though there were a few "accidents" (Selita's first outfit )

I found that the models were overshadowed by all the performers behind them. I thought they were supposed to be the stars of this show, not the singers and dancers.

Enough has been said about the ANTM thing, I just find the finalists disappointing, they were kinda pretty but totally unremarkable. I liked the winners runway walk though (minus all the pointing, kissing...).

Overall, I think the runway was pretty good, Ana BB totally stood out for me, I think she looked fantastic.

I don't know if this is the worst show ever, maybe it is, but as far as I'm concerned, if I ignore all the editing problems, I just haven't liked the soundtrack of a VS show since 2006 and that to me is a big part of how much I enjoy the show.

This would of been more entertaining to watch then the show. True story, no lie. This is WIN at it's best. Don't agree, well then you just don't know the power of EMB and industrial dancing. OH and the music.....waaaaay better then the shit played last night, and that's sad lol

I just re-watched it (bad idea there) and thought i'd give it another chance and just watched the catwalk/backstage parts n..yeah..still a big negative. I mean, in all honesty I would have rather watched KK's whole "busting out of her outfit fiasco" for an hour and ppl yelling about that. That was pretty entertaining last year.

This wasn't the VSFS 2009, it was MODEL SEARCH KYLIE WINNER SHOW 2009. (N)...

I didn't think it was THAT bad I am not saying it was great but it could have been worse...yeah

The cast, set and outfits were overall decent. Alright, some of the outfits were downright horrific and I question Todd & Charlotte's taste and sense of style. They need to brought in to be questioned by the Fashion FBI

However, they focused a lot less on Heidi than I expected

I think what made the show "meh" was there was too much focus on the Model Search (surprise, surprise, Kylie won...no one cares!!! ) , and not enough on the models, runway and outfits. Also, I wasn't too fond of the music. KOL are not my cup of tea

@AZ: Yes, I am holding back. Everyone knows my feelings for this show, but seriously, you don't wanna know what I really think about every girl's outfits. No-no-no, you really don't wanna know what I think.

BUT......believe it or not, there was one highlight of the show I did enjoy! If anyone remembers, there was a shot of Candice in her blue/white outfit walking down the stairs and, for some reason, CBS had to censor out her beautiful little ass crack! Poor Candice had to (literally) have her ass censored!

I think the show was goof but why are the lingerie outfits so ridiculous. like selita was wearing a huge piece of tinsel last night and i think the joker outfit thing was ugly but i digress. the show is alot better if you watch it with out watching the model search parts

I really could have done without all the model search footage. Also, who was that dumb chick that said "I guess blondes are in this year"? Kylie is a brunette, right?! Or at least a dirty blonde.

As for the show, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, and that saying A LOT!!! The V shaped runway actually worked out. And there enough new faces(the the VSFS anyway) to keep you somewhat interested. I especially liked Chanel Iman. I was shocked that the 'PINK" segment was NOT AS ANNOYING as in previous years. I wasn't really feeling the 2nd segment, though. WTF WAS UP WITH THAT?! They didn't pick on anybody this year, which I guess was a plus. Of course, they only seem to pick on KK, and she couldn't be. I'm gonna have to watch the show again seeing how much of you hated it so much. I had a long day yesterday dealing with a family issue, so my mind was not in the right place, and the only thing about the day was the antcipation of coming home and watching the show to take my mind off the personal drama.

Can't be bothered, the last two were awful, and all the pictures I've seen indicate another heap of garbage. To screw up such an awesomely simple premise is pretty ridiculous, really.
