  1. I'm really hoping for a scene where Baby Groot just suddenly grows huge, since he can change his size at will. "You could have done that this whole time?!" "I am Groot."

Thanks Shep. For some reason, the release date for this has really snuck up on me. It only seems like five minutes since I started the topic, and now here we are with just a couple of weeks to go.
  4. Behold, the first official teaser poster...

Thanks again @Shepherd! This little featurette is worth a watch, with some of the awesome Steve Ditko-style magicscapes finally shown.

Trailer #2. The emotion building throughout and ending it with the force theme, just great.

Even now, I haven't fully worked out what my feelings are on old Brucey's time as Sunderland manager. For every genuinely outstanding spell we enjoyed under his charge (the likes of which, outside of April and May, we've never seen since), there was an alarming tailspin in which we looked utterly abject, unmotivated and tactically clueless for weeks on end. Still, with the right amount of money to spend, I could see him doing a good job in the Championship. He'll never be an innovator or a serial winner, but when what a club wants is to get promoted, he seems to end up delivering more often than not.

Someone on YouTube decided to re-imagine Luke Cage as a nineties sitcom, and it's actually amazing.

I enjoyed that one, although it wasn't a patch on 'Kiss Kiss Bang Bang', my favourite Shane Black film. The best thing I've seen in the last six months or so was probably 'Hell or High Water'. It was fairly derivative of other films at times, but just so engaging from start to finish. Felt like a breath of fresh air to a point, and anything with a soundtrack by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis always gets my vote.

Season two trailer, with one of the first looks at Tyler Hoechlin's Superman in action. I'm already pretty confident that he's going to do well in the role.

An announcement about the extended cut of the movie has arrived in the form of a shiny new trailer. There's not a whole lot to be gleaned from it, but it offers a few new glimpses of Harley and the Joker.

There aren't many plot details out there for 'Defenders' yet, but it was announced yesterday that Sigourney Weaver has joined the cast. No word on her character at the moment, though.

Netflix just kicked off this year's New York Comic-Con with another teaser trailer. I don't expect anything to top Wilson Fisk as the villain, but given the martial arts vibe, I have fairly high hopes for the action sequences.

Another (very) brief teaser has appeared, confirming March 2017 as the release date.

Finished it last night. Another good series, although I still wouldn't quite put it up there with Daredevil or Jessica. We already knew Mike Colter would be excellent as Cage. A lot of fans online have been raving about Cottonmouth, who I did like, but I must admit, I slightly preferred Diamondback's performance. His voice was something else, and he had a real knack for mixing funny with menacing, but never in a way that felt forced. Surprising not to catch any references to Iron Fist though, I was waiting for one the whole time.

Dipped into S3 to check whether or not I'd been missing anything good. Much like the first season, which I watched from start to finish, it blows hot and cold. BD Wong and how stupendously evil he makes Hugo Strange has been the best bit for me, I was amazed the other night seeing him somehow manage to turn 'Eve' into a four-syllable word. Good lord though, are they on dodgy ground with some of the Ivy stuff.

So, it looks like October 6th, 2017 will be the date to mark in our diaries. We also have an official title...

I need to finish the seventh episode later today. It still doesn't quite have that 'just one more, just one more, oh crap it's four in the morning' factor for me, although I suppose that's a pretty rare thing anyway. Overall though, no major complaints so far, I've actually grown to like Cage more than Murdock as the hero. Before The Defenders arrives, I'd love for Netflix to do a quick Claire spinoff. She's such a great character.

It's a strange one, because chopping and changing is never a good thing and we're all getting tired of the knee-jerk sackings, but at the same time, I've not seen much to suggest that Di Matteo was capable of turning Villa's fortunes around. I suppose normally, an owner would be looking to have a new manager in place by the end of the international break, but no-one will want to hire someone who could end up on the Telegraph's hitlist in a few weeks.

@Cult Icon @Maggiemay I'm three episodes in at the moment. It's been enjoyable so far, although the show has yet to grip me quite as much as Daredevil and Jessica Jones did. In terms of the villains, I always find that Marvel's Netflix stuff has the edge over the films. I legitimately can't wait for them to get their comeuppance in this, something I rarely feel when watching the MCU movies. As entertaining as characters like Loki or Ultron can be, they're quite often portrayed more as fun rogues than genuine bad guys.

Storming game. End-to-end, no bookings, raw passion on the pitch and in the stands. All in all, a pretty good advert for why the Champions League would be better off staying as is. The proposed new format for 2018 will push the so-called 'outsiders' further away and make qualification that much more difficult.

Bring back Sven, I say. He's already been implicated in every kind of scandal and embarassing controversy I can think of, so there’s nothing that any tabloid could reveal about him that would make people bat an eyelid. It'd all be old news.
  25. Whatever suits you, really. We can do it right now if you'd like.
