The Man City of old would have probably been rattled by such a hostile atmosphere, I suppose we'll have to wait and see how it pans out with Guardiola at the helm and a group of players still looking to gel. On paper, they look capable of having a decent run, although I'd be very surprised if they were to equal last season’s semi-final finish under Pellegrini. It could be a hard slog for Ajax, too. Rostov are supposedly the Leicester of the Russian league.

Neither would I. You'd have to say it's one that City should get through, but certainly not one they can afford to take for granted. Villarreal will likely have too much for Monaco in what looks like the tie of the round aside from Porto-Roma. Tough draw for Dundalk unfortunately, although I don't think this Legia side is as good as the one that played Celtic off the park a few years ago. It was a real struggle for them to beat a moderate Slovakian outfit on aggregate in the last round. I don't know much about Hapoel, but keeping out Champions League regulars suggests that they're a strong defensive unit, which isn't good news for a side who struggle to break down their opposition. I would expect Celtic to just make it, but I wouldn't consider it an upset if they went out.

Porto and Roma is a pretty hot draw for a qualifier, it could have easily been a round of 16 tie. Celtic have somehow managed a better draw in the play-off than they did in the third prelim.

Oh to have been a fly on the wall when Kevin Mirallas found out that Roberto Martinez was taking over as manager of Belgium.

Bloody hell, are we there already? Time really flies when you're doing nothing of note in the transfer market.

    Blimey O'Reilly.

A lot of people loved 'Batman v Superman' and will probably love this too, but if the vast majority of reviews are savaging yet another DC adaptation, then it doesn't bode that well for their business model. There's going to be so much pressure on Wonder Woman now to get in good with the critics. If it doesn't, I wouldn't be surprised if some of those other projects were to mysteriously disappear from the calendar.

Enjoyed this one. I wouldn't put it up there with 'Kiss Kiss Bang Bang' (my favourite Shane Black film), but it was good fun. Quite the change of pace to see Ryan Gosling in a lighter role.
  11. Not that it would be my decision to make, but I don't know if I could deprive the forum of sigs like Kiki's current one in good conscience.
  12. We're fine for funds, although the offer is of course very much appreciated. I believe the boss has thought about the viglinks, but in the end decided against it. He's not really in this for the money.

I really didn't see this deal happening, but it looks like it's getting more inevitable by the day. I wonder if anyone will still have the audacity to turn up for the opening game of the season waving a 'Glazers Out' banner.

I'm still rooting for DC and Warners to get it right with this, but the trailer is such an about-face from all its previous reference points that it just comes across as a bit jarring. The problem is that Snyder was off-base in striking a balance between darkness and realism for 'Batman v Superman' and ended up with an excessively brooding movie that wasn't reflective of its characters. They've finally started writing the characters as they are, which is commendable, but it feels like a shock to the system because of what's gone before.

I thought Wonder Woman's introduction in Batman vs Superman was a bit superficial, but I'm optimistic about Gal Gadot in the role here. There's a touch of Talisa Soto about her, which is no bad thing. What I can't believe is that the movie isn't out until the middle of 2017. DC always promotes its stuff so oddly, they bust out a trailer that makes it look pretty close to the finished article, and then leave everyone sitting on it for almost a year.

That cast is loaded. It'll be interesting to see how much of a role Bucky plays here. I certainly wouldn't complain if he turned up, but T'Challa was so well received in 'Civil War' that I also don't see cameos being needed for the movie to do well. I'd be perfectly fine with a standalone Wakanda story.

Whenever I see Leto's Joker now, all I can think about is Dennis Reynolds from 'It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia'. How about that Enchantress though?

Quick and decisive action taken by the club for a change. Moyes seems like the sensible option and, despite a few obvious limitations, should be able to provide us with a bit of stability. We recruited well last January and it shouldn't be too much of a stretch to imagine those same players being worth a few more points in the first half of the season as well. With a few more decent additions, that elusive sense of security might finally be within reach.

I think a lot will depend on what they choose to emphasise about him. Usually, Deadshot is a guy who doesn't have strict morals. Not exactly suicidal but with very little regard for his own life, something that Will Smith doesn't often play. What I would probably expect to see here is the other side of the character, a redeemable villain who enjoys the hunt but wants to do right by his daughter. Basically the kind of role Smith can do, and often does do, in his sleep.

My last hope for Smith's Deadshot is that Ayer has a pretty good track record of getting unconventional performances out of actors who are the same in everything. He may have even pushed into the realm of making Jai Courtney interesting.
