Deus ex is a series of games, set during the 21st century, focuses on the conflict between secretive factions who wish to control the world by proxy, and the effects of transhumanistic attitudes and technologies in a dystopian future setting. The series consists of: Deus Ex (2000), Deus Ex: Invisible War (2003), Deus Ex: Human Revolution (2011), Deus Ex: The Fall (2013), Deus Ex Go (2016) and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (2016). I really really liked the first Deus Ex, but the last one (mankind divided) is the best in my opinion (and it's not always the case for games or movies - far from it actually) Deus Ex rocks because: a) Adam Jensen …

Death Stranding is an action game developed by Kojima Productions. It is the first game from director Hideo Kojima and Kojima Productions after their disbandment from Konami in 2015. It was released for the PlayStation 4 by Sony Interactive Entertainment in November 2019, and is scheduled for release on Microsoft Windows by 505 Games in 2020. The game is set in the United States during the aftermath of a cataclysmic event, which caused destructive creatures from a realm between life and death to begin roaming the Earth. The story follows Sam Bridges (played by Norman Reedus), a courier tasked with delivering supplies to the fractured and isolated colonies that…

Their stories are based on Dmitry Glukhovsky's novel of the same name; they are set in the ruins of Russia following a nuclear war, where the survivors are forced to live in underground metro tunnels. So far, there are three games: Metro 2033 (released in 2010), Metro: Last Light (2013), Metro Exodus (2019).

Assassin's Creed II (or Assassin's Creed 2) is an upcoming sandbox-style action-adventure video game being developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft, the sequel to Assassin's Creed. It is set to be released worldwide on November 17, 2009 on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 platforms. While not much is known of the plot yet, it has been confirmed that the player will assume the role of a young nobleman-turned-assassin named Ezio Auditore di Firenze. Let this be a lesson to all you young boys out there... NEVER FALL IN LOVE. EVER. Especially when you're a full-time student in university. All you'll ever do is think about her all day, want to be with her all the time, go places and see the world with her, and do whatever it takes to spend time with her. You'll just sit with her for hours doing nothing but looking at her ass all day when you should be studying. You'll spend money you shouldn't have spent on her but you were happy to do it anyway. That right... I pre-ordered Tomb Raider Underworld and downloaded the demo to see how it runs on my computer. Should have been no problem. We're talking Athlon X2 4200+, nF…

  11. Ok...I've owned the Nintendo DS since it's launch and just recieved the PSP over the weekend and I have to say that the PSP is the coolest handheld device ever created. If I had to decide on the better handheld, I'd have to give the edge to the PSP, because of its versatility. Don't get me wrong, I love Nintendo's DS and it has the most potential between the two, but the lack of quality games that have produced is really hurting it's image in the eyes of gamers. So, what does everyone else think??

Arrives in under two weeks. I'm really excited about this title, probably more so than any of the recent TR reboots or remakes. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mEOOishb5fY They seem to have incorporated Skyrim-style gameplay elements, which I can only applaud.

  16. I checked out some E3 stuff over the weekend. Some interesting stuff. I had pretty much felt that gaming industry was stuck in a rut but the new promotional efforts are showing some promise: The bethesda softworks stuff looked well done. Fallout 4's vision of post-nuclear Boston looks the most interesting and derives from Fallout 3. The modern version of Doom- the classic shooter- is retro and is different at the same time; also now relies on speed and close action for survival. Deus Ex has excellent graphics and looks like a significant upgrade from Human revolution. Most certainly these modern games have had a significant leap forward in terms of graphics an…

I haven't played either of the first two games, but Saints Row: The Third was an absolute blast, and ridiculously over the top. An announce trailer just came out the other day for IV, which is due out end of August. Seems as though what was originally planned as an expansion for III has been rebadged and expanded to be a whole new game now. Looks a bit more-of-the-same, with some small additions (and seemingly superpowers), but I guess it's not all bad since I enjoyed III so much. Time will tell exactly what it is though, and whether or not it's worth the price tag

It Cuts Like a Knife When Sony's PlayStation and PlayStation 2 consoles launched worldwide, there was up to nine months between the Japanese and European releases. So European gamers rejoiced when, at this year's Electronic Entertainment Expo, it was announced that the PlayStation 3 launch would take place worldwide over a matter of weeks in November. However, this morning Sony has issued a statement saying that the PlayStation 3 release date has been pushed back to March 2007 in Europe, Russia, the Middle East, Africa, and Australasia. Sony cited 'the delay in the mass-production schedule of the blue laser diode within the Sony Group' as the reason for the postponement. …

Thief is a series of stealth video games in which the player takes the role of Garrett, a master thief in a fantasy steampunk world resembling a cross between the Late Middle Ages and the Victorian era, with more advanced technologies interspersed. The series consists of Thief: The Dark Project (1998), Thief II: The Metal Age (2000), Thief: Deadly Shadows (2004) and Thief (2014). Dark project was great. Metal age as well

The first I heard of the widespread hate towards them was after the much-maligned ending of 'Mass Effect 3', and of course, the Origin debacle. Did those two things simply combine and irritate people, or is there another reason from way back when? Franchise-milking, perhaps?
