LikeAFineWine suggested we should have a thread for Fashion Magazines and here it is So feel free to post everything related to fashion magazines like editorials, covers etc. To make it easier to navigate please make sure you put in the title and issue/ date of the magazine where the cover or editorial/pictures are from. If you have any additional information like photographer, model names, stylist etc it would be nice for you to include those in your post as well

Supporting statements with citations becomes necessary in any type of scientific text. This includes, among others, theses, dissertations and all kinds of publications and scientific papers. Students cannot avoid the topic of citation during their studies, because proper citations are required for both term papers during the semester and for bachelor's, master's, or diploma theses. But how are you supposed to know what you actually have to cite and what not? In general, anything that is considered common knowledge does not need to be backed up with a source. If it can be assumed that readers know about a statement, no citation is necessary. This is based on th…

Just wanted to start a topic to see what books people are reading. im currently reading Dante-The Inferno(part of The Divine Comedy) Descrition-Dante falls in love with a girl Beatriz, who he met once in his life. He is so madly in love with this girl from that one day, he can't stop thinking of this girl. He is so obsessed with this girl, he stops caring for anything else in the world. He end's up taking a journey through hell to rid himself of his obsession. What I Think-Its pretty cool. Very descriptive in parts about how people are tortured in hell. anyone who has read this book and the rest of the series, should i finish the trilogy? i heard the other two books aren…

Crop circles are geometrical formations of flattened crops found in England and elsewhere. They have been found in wheat, barley, canola, rye, corn, linseed and soy. The phenomenon itself was observed in its current form after notable appearances in England in the late 1970s. Various explanations were offered for the phenomenon, which soon spread around the world. In 1991, two men named Doug Bower and Dave Chorley revealed that they had been making crop circles in England since 1978 using planks, rope, hats, and wire as their only tools.Circlemakers.org, a UK-based arts collective founded by John Lundberg have been creating complex crop circles since the early 1990s. While there are some attractive aspects to using this type of service, the disadvantages are risky and likely outweigh the potential benefits. Benefits In some situations, a person might feel some benefits of hiring this type of service. Examples include: You don't have to spend time writing the paper. You might get a better grade than you would have gotten if you did it on your own. If you are behind on your work, it may mean passing a class instead of failing if it is not possible to complete the assignment yourself on time. The downside Are there really sufficient reasons to do something unethical and fraudulent? This is where the dow…

This is a thread where you introduce your favorite art pieces to BZ. I'd like to limit it to non-performing arts. So paintings, sculptures, architecture, an conceptual art are all acceptable. To get us started: Resurrezione di Lazzaro by Caravaggio Before I start explaining why I like this painting, I should probably mention that I am a great admirer of abstract art. There is very little in the Baroque era that I really love, yet this painting finds itself easily in my top ten. Why is hard to explain without access to the piece itself. Just believe me when I tell you that the picture I included above does not even capture 1/100th of the power of seeing this piece in…
