When I would get them they’d go on a high shelf or in the back of the closet. I remember asking for doll beds and clothes for gifts, and putting my stuffed critters in them instead.

I've been dragged into baby stores on numerous occasions so she could buy toddler clothes for her dolls.. It seems to me that older women can appreciate dolls again, especially after own children move away.
