Probably the latter. We've never seen any of these amazing sketches from fans in any of the shows so I'm guessing they ignore them and act like they're not out there. I bet that somehow they're even pissed, because some fans make 10x more beautiful and unique sketches than VS's team

Sophia tagged Ming in a TBT photo and concluded it with an angel. Don't know if she meant it literally, but I guess it's a strong sign.

@PastaFreak John also commented under one of her pictures and said something along the lines of enjoying seeing her almost every day with a winky face emoji...tbh if I were to pick an Asian Angel, I wish I would've been Sui because she has such an otherworldly beauty to her and she's breathtaking, however Ming has the personality, strong runway walk and appeal to younger audiences because she looks much younger than she actually is. It's gonna be quite nice seeing her in the VS Christmas commercials and campaigns after she becomes an Angel 

People are going a little bit crazy editing wikipedia this days. Yesterday I saw that they put a very unrealistic add on the Fantasy Bra section saying that Behati wore it, it was called Pink or Dusty Pink (i dont remember wich one was) and that it was worth more than 8 million dollars, and I was like WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THIS PEOPLE. I'll post the screenshot If I found it.

Ah, I was talking about this to a Weibo user whose under Sui's fan group. I think everyone agrees Sui could have been the VS' first Asian angel. The sad part is she chose to distant herself from high fashion and never sought to re-establish her presence after that. I never knew why she stayed away from HF modeling, she only does commercial modeling now, like being nominated as Pantene's global spokesperson and promoting Lane Crawford sportswear. 

 

The fan says if only Sui was just as ambitious, VS would have noticed her. In fact, I think VS noticed her. Every year she got more attention & love from VS, she promoted the soft launch of VS when Ale and Jo were in China last year, VS even made an effort to let her have the honor of wearing the Swarovski wings. She practically achieved all of that without being a prominent figure in HF. And yet, she let down VS. And all of that didn't just happen over night, it gradually just stopped happening. Sophia doesn't comment on Sui's IG posts anymore, like completely zero interaction. She even stopped following her. Kinda painful to watch honestly. But her fans know her best, apparently Sui doesn't want too much glamor. Right now if Sui He's name is mentioned, I guess people'd go "Oh, that Asian chick whose whiter than a white and was boring AF on VS runway". Meanwhile, Ming would have been the one people recognize because of her involvement in HF, she even attended Cannes this year. 

 

Gone too soon is the word. She had a rather great HF career and she let it go too soon. If Ming is an angel, I guess I'm team Ming. For better or worse, I still don't quite like Ming. She captured my attention in 2013, had this really Japanese-esque chick like and was clearly the hotter one. But then her 2014 on stage personality just kinda made me not like her so much? But yeah, team Ming if she's angel.

Ming is gorgeous, she's incredible on the runway and pictures I'll love to see her as an Angel, but she is very cute and bubbly most of the time, like pretty much the rest of the NA line up, I think Sui will complement more that because she is incredible hot and sexy.  Anyway both are good choices.

Aww poor Sui  but regardless, seeing as the show is in China this year, she'll be getting a lot of spotlight (as well as Ming of course) and I wouldn't be surprised if they give her two wings or make her close a segment, however , Ming was in the talks to close the opening segment this year.

 

nontheless, I find Ming very gorgeous as well. I think she'll get along easy with the NA because of their similar, free-spirited attitudes. Sui is a little more reserved but....that's why I love her tbh  she carries herself so regal- like and mature.

1) The people at VS can't look at unsolicited designs due to the chance of being sued for stealing the ideas. The images y'all've been sharing are hands down gorgeous and they would make great costumes for the show. The folks at VS have to keep their eyes off of the fan art for fear of being sued, sadly. 

2) Sui not going HF route anymore probably is because there's more money made by going commercial. I don't blame her for ditching HF for any reason she's got. 

3) Behait's fans, Candice's fans, Barbara P's fans...all insane in various ways. 

I think Sui is a stunning woman but she lacks the personality to be an Angel, much like Kate G. VS has become more about being a spokesperson than about being just pretty, so for that reason I think Ming is a way better fit to the brand than Sui.

 

And while I do want Ming to get a contract, I hope some else gets dropped because there's too many girls. I personally feel like having Elsa, Candice, Martha and Romee all contracted at the same time is just pointless, I'd keep the first two, drop the others and book Ming who actually adds some diversity to the brand. 

I'd let go of Martha and Stella ASAP. I don't know about Romee, she's still growing, gets HF deals, is friends with all of the models and has fake boobs. Elsa is a good spokesperson, stunning, does some HF shows and she opened the show, so they like her and she's not going anywhere. Lais has the best boobs so continue, altough she really isn't anything new for the brand. Jasmine is awesome for Sport, great body and beautiful, spokesperson by the script so she'll go on. Jo has been losing a considerable amount of heat around her and isn't getting much work, and we aren't bombarded with VS pictures of her anymore. Taylor is a no-brainer. Sara has been working more with VS, getting mild work, second to Taylor so yeah I would get her thru. Oh and I would fire 3 of the vets. Bee doesn't seem to want to continue, Ale and Lily are just dragging themselves everywhere, I'm super tired of them

Depends on how you see it.

 

Are you a more familiar name so designers will like you more now? Yes. But VS is aso a very demanding brand, meaning it's very time consuming meaning you have less time to fly for magazines, campaigns, fasion week, etc, and also the girls sign a contract that doesn't allow them to change their looks without VS permission. Meaning: if Ricardo Tisce/Muica Prada/Donatella Versace wants you to get a pixie cut for the campaing, they have to go through VS first and VS likes a family friendly image, meaning drastic changes are out of the picture.

 

I think the right way to go is first building your HF connections, then signing for a big brand like VS, L'Oreal and such.

Does VS tell the girl who's opening that she is ahead of when they tell everyone else stuff like they're opening/closing segments? I remember last year a lot of people were speculating Elsa was going to open because she walked during fashion month a lot more than she had in the past.

 

Totally agree that having Candice, Elsa, Stella, Martha and Romee is excessive. Martha needed to go yesterday as she brings nothing unique to the brand, and no one cares about T. Swift's ~girl squad~ anymore. I like Stella as a model, but I don't think she's the best fit for VS. But Ed loves her so that probably buys her at least one more contract extension, plus I'm sure they think she fits a certain niche and appeals to a specific customer. Romee is just kind of there which says a lot IMO. Candice and Elsa are no brainers as far as keeping.

 

No clue why Ale is still contracted tbh. It's not like she has star power anymore. Her, Lily and Behati need to go ASAP. But I still don't see their lineup losing anyone until after the 2018 show.
