I think Emily R. will be the ROTY because of her body. I can't pick if her boobs or ass looks better  

I don't think her face will get in the way of winning because some of SI favorites don't have a great face either( Heidi, Marissa).

I'm pretty sure Samantha Hoopes will win ROTY.

 

Look carefully at the last two ROTY, the ones who won by 'voting', they both have something in common with Samantha and it's the fact that they belong to Elite Models. Samantha went from having like 1% to being 20% in less than a couple of hours. She'll slowly take the lead and win this. As I mentioned before, I don't even know why bother having a 'voting' process if they will make whoever they want win.

 

Sucks for Sara because otherwise I'm pretty sure she would win, she did smash all the other girls before the votes got fixed.

Emily R is looking so much hotter in motion. Her face is less harsh then on pictures. She looks always mad or super mad on pics (facial expression) when she is rather cute and sweet in motion. And her smile is pretty. No need to smile like you are selling toothpaste on every single pictures. 

^ So did Emily, and to the general public who doesn't follow either Emily or Samantha aka Fashion, there is very little difference.

Both look good naked, both brunettes, and both could be in Maxim.

Since when is Samantha brunette?! Pretty sure she is blonde (or at least dirty blonde)

And you can't compare the two. Emily has a much better modelsque body (bigger bust, smaller frame, and better butt). Emily also has WAY more exposure (Blurred Lines) and has done some fashion eds and campaigns (Revolve). She also has 789k followers on Instagram versus Samantha's measly 19k. She has wayyyy more power. Plus Emily actually brings something new (exotic Polish-British beauty) versus Samantha who is just a cheap version of Marisa Miller. Emily's photos are way better, she looks more natural and comfortable while Samantha looks paralyzed.

Emily R has to have the best pair of breast in the business, I mean those babies are world class.  Natural?  I sure hope so.

IMO, its less about Emily’s face, which I like as well, and more about how SI shot her.  No effort was made to make her look classy/sexy at all.  Picking right up from blurred lines, SI put her in the body paint and some skimpy swim wear, giving her an appearance of being cheap.  Big mistake and a waste of her considerable assets.

So... this is why Kate got the back cover, because as much as MJ loves Chrissy, and as much as this forum thinks Nina is perfect, and as much as people want the VS angels to be relevant.... this is what the rest of the world thinks of all of the above in terms of search popularity. My question is this. Why would they make any effort to make her look classy when her fame is based on not looking classy. She paraded/bounced around naked in a music video and caught the general public's eye because of that. It's not a mistake or a waste, they marketed her based on what made her popular. Makes perfect sense; something along the lines of don't fix what's not broken.

Yes, I want to punish her for doing what she did. That's a rather silly statement as all I said was that she was made famous for parading around naked, which isn't exactly the most classy endeavor. Not to mention it wasn't even done in an "artistic" fashion. The video was touted as being incrediby derogatory towards woman, and sexist on top of it. To make her look classy would have taken away the integral points of what made her "famous".

Just because you're given the "honor" of being in the SI swimsuit issue doesn't mean a damn thing. There were 12 rookies, obvious point there was some filler models being thrown in because of their 15 minutes. Nothing wrong with that, and I hope it does something for their career, but the point remains they aren't going to change the shoot to something that doesn't cater to their target audiences. Point in case Bregje, she is incredibly high fashion and was marketed as such. It was a bit of a miss, why would they change it up for Emily and make her something she's not?

They look pretty obviously fake to me. They are completely uneven and misshapen.
The rest of her proportions are really unattractive to me too. The fact that she's been mentioned in the same sentence as Marisa Miller - even if preceded by "a poor man's" - makes me throw up in my mouth a little

It's not just that with the boobs though - it's the way they're sitting, especially in the body paint shots. But regardless of whether they're real or fake, they ain't nice. And I'm not even a 'boob guy' <_<

^^ Everyone is entitled to their opinion, of course.  I just think yours is totally off the mark.  I didn’t think the blurred lines video set back women’s liberation at all.  In fact, the song and accompanying video received universal praise and coverage.  Just because Emily R appeared nude in a video once, should not doom or confine her to the life of a mere sexpot.  As I said, countless women have taken it off, and the vast majority never got a fraction of the attention and coverage that Emily did.  

 

If SI considered her a filler model, they certainly had a multitude of others to choose from.  Come off that high horse and loosen up a bit.

Blurred lines was blasting on the “View” numerous times.  If Barbara Walters, Whoopi and company were cool with it, I just don’t see your point.  Robin Thicke was the king of summer.  If a sect of hardcore feminist stood in opposition to the video, than that can hardly be seen as popular opinion.  However, millions of records sold, award nominations, and countess appearances can.

 

I think female nudity is bad?  Noooooo, not even close.  My point of contention is simply that Emily R has the “assets” to be more than what she has been portrayed.  SI should be a huge step up, but in this case I think they dropped the ball.  As I said, a past/present of nudity should not limit her potential for growth.  If that were the case, Uma Thurman and Helen Mirren (just to name a couple) should have been done long ago, and never ascended to stardom.       

 

Just because Emily R appeared nude in a video once, should not doom or confine her to the life of a mere sexpot.
