In 2020, there's no decency. And they say the blue checkmarks are so "progressive", the beacons of the new world. :banghead:

KARMA IS REAL

Yes it is! And funny to me. :blah:

(j/k! I don’t need any more bad karma in my life right now!)

My guess is that if he was involved in something creative , constructive, or a passionate everyday things would get easier for you and he would be much happier.

My grand aunt also has alzheimer's.  She has severe depression and spends enormous amounts of time trapped in front of the TV, which I think is very bad.  Passive entertainment like television with  its endless stream of garbage is the worst thing ever, leads to depression, delusions, and severe psychological problems real fast.   I'd rather be dead than confined to such a fate.

I know that feeling, all too well.

Father in law also has bi-polar depression among other ills and ailments. He is almost stone deaf, can’t hold his poop or pee very well, arthritis, balance issues, etc etc. And because of these ailments he doesn’t want to go out.
He’s a paranoid homebody. We’ve tried to get him engaged, to no avail

I am sorry to read that about your great aunt.
The only comfort we as loved ones is know that as they retreat into their memories, it’s where they were happiest in life.

It is a disease that robs the living more than the patient.

For the next month, we’re dealing with his torn up knee and we don’t want to leave him alone.

I don't understand how being happy about someone' sickness is considered "progressive", but then again I don't understand 2020, so whatever.

(Above)I’m not happy about him getting sick, I don’t like hearing anyone getting this shit. I only think that it is ironic that someone who did not follow the protocols the CDC put out for a long time, well he was playing with fire. But am I happy, dancing in the streets? No.

(below)Sad to say, but I think it may be too much to ask.

A little compassion (for everyone), is that too much to ask in 2020?

I understand, don't worry, I wasn't talking about you or anyone on this forum. I'm just disheartened to see public figures easily wish the worst to their political opponents. There are all kinds of reactions, but I'm really bothered by people liker them:

Maybe I'm imagining things, but I remember politicians having more "panache" 10 years ago. Public figures have to be better than us. When they're not, things tend to fall apart.

Star Wars Squadron looks quite bad... Not very surprising, after all, it's EA and Disney Star Wars, under Kathleen Kennedy's leadership. :ninja:

They managed to release Jedi Fallen Order (a pretty decent game), but I guess there's one good product every 20 failures...

BZ no longer works reliably on Chrome for me, don't know what caused the bug.

It works elsewhere though, but I prefer Chrome because it's faster.

@Matt!  Do you know about this story? This is golden

BTW, your people are too nice sometimes, but I guess that's part of what makes their charm.:ninja:

^ I hear Taiwan and South Korea were really good too. :bounce:

Meanwhile in the Parisian metro :banghead:

(and they close the bars, say we're on maximal alert...)

what kind of masks do you guys use?

recently I found a KN95 that's on the FDA's EUA list and bought a batch.  Before that I was using good quality Medline/Crosstex masks but I've run out.   I've been too wasteful of masks and threw a lot out.

From now on I'm probably going to wear two masks at once- the KN95 as a reusable and a cheap, thin disposable underneath to absorb the sweat, etc. and discard.

I have other KN95 masks- they seem to all look the same.  A problem I have is that the Chinese KN95 is designed for someone with a medium sized head.  I have a large head and the mask is too small for me.  This  model according to reviews and pictures appears to be larger.

the press secretary (Kayleigh) has COVID now too-

Hope Hicks is so fine, she looks like she could be Hilary Rhoda's sister.
