I received the classic Japanese candy (featured in the tragic film "Grave of the Fireflies".) as a travel gift.

It's pretty mediocre/average hard candy.  But there's a long history behind it.

^ I really like this movie

I remember that I couldn't even finish it.  (it was too depressing and I wasn't into getting depressed LOL).

IIRC the candy was what the children hanged onto as they starved to death

does Dairy Queen make the best soft serve in America?  Opinions?

I think it's definitely the thickest soft serve

Had a Medium Cherry Dipped cone from DQ for dinner (lol)

Quite good!  Creamy, good soft serve.  Not my hands.  The Cherry tastes good but eventually the taste buds get frozen and the rest of the cone don't have the same level of taste.

Also tried a soft serve a private ice cream store.  Strawberry.  Good quality!  Even better soft serve than DQ

Do you think vegan is a " good style of life " ?? ....

I think being "mostly" vegan  and enjoying meat from time to time is good.  But it's expensive.

A lot of Vegan proteins give me digestive problems so I can't do it.

The pork roast is seared and in the crockpot.

The pork was season with salt & pepper.

Now have to wait 7 hours. :hang:

how did it finish?

I couldn't wait any longer, after the pork roast was done you're suppose to wrap in tinfoil and let sit for at least 10 minutes or it will fall apart when you cut it.

I put some of it away for lunch & dinner tomorrow.

The finished product.........
