February 27, 200916 yr Fred, please change your avi back to Diane Kruger. The poster child for sociopathy you have up now is giving me the creeps. :|I will take this under advisement. I don't actually like this picture of Paul Stanley but it compels me, like a car crash. He used to be beautiful.
February 27, 200916 yr Goodbye to a valiant and brave FC Twente team as well. Brave and valiant: two things Steve McClaren's England side never were! What a twist! He's very well liked over there as well! In the irony of ironies, Steve's Twente is considered by far the most fun to watch team in the Eredivisie. Is he still conducting interviews in that comedy accent? That interview was probably him unconsciously mimicking his interviewer, whose English isn't all that great. I have read several reports that suggest he is very well liked by the supporters down there. Must be a nice change from the England job for him! I still find it funny that he was ever England manager. Its one of those funny 'did that really happen?' things, like when Lyle Lovett married Julia Roberts.
March 2, 200916 yr So much can change over 2 weeks Awful couple of weeks. Now it'll drag on without mercy until we end up 5th. Good job we rested the big guns for Stoke, eh?
March 5, 200916 yr Think about what would've happened if you didn't rest up against Stoke WHY. WON'T. MANYOO. DIE???? :anger:
March 5, 200916 yr Ben Foster. <_< What was he really doing on his iPod? : Congratulations, BB. Oh well, at least Spurs redeemed themselves a bit with the win against 'Boro. Aaron Lennon. It's scary to think that Middlesbrough beat Liverpool 2-0 and then lost to Spurs 4-0. The Cristiano Ronaldo-Steven Taylor bust-up sounded comedy. "At least I'm not ugly."
March 5, 200916 yr lol @ Ben Foster's iPod, anything that helps win the game This season is a write off for quite a few 'big' teams, Milan being one
March 5, 200916 yr Thanks John. Perhaps Foster was making celebratory dinner reservations. I predict Taylor will be stocking shelves at Tesco's in Newcastle within a few years.
March 5, 200916 yr He may well be, but at least he won't be ugly. Do you find it easy following football, what with you being across the Atlantic and all?
March 5, 200916 yr Apparently they're now saying that it was Wayne Rooney and not Ronaldo that Taylor was talking to. He's still sadly mistaken but hey, what else can you expect from a player who makes Grant Leadbitter look like Einstein?
March 5, 200916 yr Rooney could turn Taylor into a crimson stain on the wall. Actually John, not at all.I have Sky Sports,Setanta, etc. through DirecTV so I never miss a match.
March 6, 200916 yr The Grant Leadbitter analogy. It would be a little harsh calling Rooney ugly. After all, in his home country *cough* Ireland *cough* he would be a god! He would be doing the Gillette adverts by now. No offence, Bern. BB, you probably have access to more Premiership football than me! How long have you followed the Premiership for?
March 6, 200916 yr Giggsy should be representing Gillette. I swear,it's a match fest most days. For about 13 years now.I have a terrible confession to make. Can you believe that I've been to England many times now and I've yet to see a Man Utd. match?
March 6, 200916 yr A razor wouldn't work on Giggsy; he'd need a pair of shears at the least! Good to hear that you've been following it for so long. . . . Even if you do support Manchester United. Have you seen any live Premiership matches? It can be pretty tricky getting tickets to watch the big teams. If it's any consolation, I really struggle to get along to White-Hart Lane. You've visited England alot then?
March 6, 200916 yr Tell me about it.The prices are outrageous.Although probably no more than I have paid for Yankees tickets. I first visited in 1999.I've wanted to go for ages prior to that.Since then I've been 7 times.I'm due for another trip.
March 6, 200916 yr It's good that you visit often. Do you normally venture far out of London? Seen much of the country? Tickets are very expensive, and I find are difficult to get even if you're prepared to pay big money. I think that I need to bite the bullet and get a season ticket really. Might be a bit of a wait though - Spurs have a 20,000 strong waiting list. :| With the collapse of the Pound, tickets probably wouldn't be too bad for you now. I'm in a real pickle when I go to the US in the Summer now, what with the currency situation.
March 6, 200916 yr I have stayed in Knightsbridge/Kensington,etc.I normally stay in Buckhurst Hill in Essex. Yes,I would be about 105 when season tickets for Man Utd. would be available. I remember all to well when the dollar to pound conversion was just dreadful. :| What areas have you visited here?
March 7, 200916 yr The West End; very swish. I'm afraid that I'm really not too familiar with Buckhurst Hill. I don't often head Essex-way. Why can't we return to the old currency conversion rates? Things actually cost me in the US now. I've visited the US quite a bit : Alabama - driven through Arizona California - LA, SF Florida - Miami, Orlando, Tampa Georgia - Atlanta Louisiana - New Orleans Mississippi Nevada New York - NY North Carolina - Charlotte Pennsylvania - Philadelphia South Carolina Texas - Houston Utah I've driven round the states lots on lots of trips. I the visa-waiver programme. I'm really looking forward to visiting in the Summer. Back on subject . . . Man Utd have left Cristiano Ronaldo out of the squad all together today. Unusual.
