  1. As an added bonus, I'll watch pretty much anything with Matt Berry in it, even though he only ever seems to play himself. I suppose Ray Bloody Purchase would get the work otherwise.
  2. Another model delete request, I'm afraid.
  3. I've been re-watching S1 in preparation for when S2 eventually drops. Honestly, this show is such a gift. So consistently good, and almost effortlessly so at that.
  4. My expectations were relatively low for this and honestly, I still found the first two chapters dull as a brush. The writers seem to be working under an assumption that a character who rarely speaks and whose face we can't see is an inherently interesting thing, and it really isn't. There's still time for it to pick up though and with a bit of luck, it will. Here's hoping for the next six episodes to be crammed with story, supporting characters and consequence.
  5. My curiosity got the better of me, which I expected it to eventually, and I picked it up this week. It's very evident that breathing new life into an old series was a passion project for the developers, they really knew what they were doing and what made the original games so good, and it's been modernised in all the right ways. The arsenal of moves is still fairly basic, and I suppose you'd have to say that was probably one of the reasons for the genre becoming defunct, but it does add a little more complexity and mixes up the rhythm of the fights. There's a bit more scope for showboating too, which keeps your interest going.
  6. Yeah, as much as Black Flag wasn't everyone's cup of tea at the time, I think it says a lot that there was so much fun to be had just by picking a direction and sailing off on a random adventure, almost to the point where your main objectives would start to feel like the sideline. Even now, given that it didn't show a great deal of reverence to the rest of the saga, it surprises me that it never became its own separate series. I'd probably consider Florence the standout too, I think, but all the settings really were expertly crafted. I suppose you'd have to say later on, many of the fans started to pick up on the series' worst habits, with some rejecting them. Ubisoft realised that eventually but unfortunately, as with some of the more recent releases, their solution seemed to be to borrow elements from The Witcher 3 and make it more RPG-ish, when expanding on the stealth stuff would have probably been more the way to go.
  7. @Minerva13 @kimflorida Awfully cool of you both. Thanks!
  8. Just for the sake of continuity everyone, any and all posts espousing the benefits of garcinia cambogia, miracle skin treatments or Babaji love specialists, can be reported here.
  9. There isn't, I'm afraid. It's quite alright if you no longer wish to be a part of the forum, but we don't do outright deletions.
  10. How do you do, fellow kids? I'm hoping someone might recognise this JC Penney catalogue model from 2003. Thanks in advance.

I finally got around to finishing up and I'm inclined to agree. Thinking back to the summer before last and the curiosity of Donald and Methven identifying Jack Ross as the right managerial candidate so soon after acquiring ownership of the club, it felt a little off to me that Ross remained such a distant figure throughout. The majority of Donald's subsequent decisions were probably reactions to circumstance and mood rather than anything resembling a plan, but it was still a bit frustrating that nothing was forthcoming about the rationale behind the appointment. The players, aside from the early focus on Luke O'Nien's arrival and the hand wringing over Josh Maja's contract, seem similarly absent. From the fairly limited insight we're given into where their heads were at, Ross appears to be well liked, but ultimately I suppose you'd have to say he lacked the motivational skills to see us right for our final run of do-or-die games.
  12. Sort of kind of, although the problem wasn't really specific to any particular post. Basically, because she has a Patreon and/or an OnlyFans, she wants to keep the majority of her content behind a paywall.
  13. Someone's already registered that username, I'm sorry to say. Would you like to choose another?
  14. Aye, it's been removed I'm afraid. We received a request from Anthea last week asking for it to be taken down.
  15. Before posting, I quickly stopped by the first page of the topic and was reminded of the show's lackluster start, after which I would never have pegged it as being the longest running MCU show, nor one of the best. Happy to be wrong, though, and I hope it goes out with an action-packed, ambitious final season.
  16. Here's the trailer for the forthcoming final season. I left S6 feeling a little unsatisfied, but I'm on board with S7 seemingly becoming Marvel's answer to Legends of Tomorrow. Give me a Fitzsimmons reunion and a Peggy Carter team-up and all will be right with the world.
  17. Yeah, most probably. Straightforward beat-em-ups have evolved into better and more well rounded genres since this game's heyday, and by and large, I do think the sideways scrolling format feels like a time capsule from a different era. Not to say it looks bad, or that it won't be everything one could want from a Streets of Rage sequel, but I'm not sure how enjoyable it'll be for folks who aren't already a part of the built-in fanbase.
  18. I've enjoyed all the Assassin's Creed games to varying degrees, but would probably lean towards Black Flag if I had to pick a favourite. For me, it had the best story, mostly because some of the sillier Dan Brown-esque elements took a back seat and the game told a fun tale while still managing to weave in a bit of intrigue. In general though, I always found the detailed historical settings more interesting than the Animus stuff.
  19. I would most certainly advocate waiting for a decent deal before scooping a copy of Fallen Order. It was very evident, having played through for an hour or so, that it was kicked through the door about six months before it was ready, presumably by EA. Not to say that there isn't some fun to be had, but there were just so many bugs, glitches and weird texture problems that I would have to believe Respawn, given the time to do so, would have polished up before release.
  20. My initial gut feeling was that it would probably end up being just that little bit too light and arcadey to justify a day one purchase. I must confess though, the inclusion of the original sprites and the classic soundtracks do make it more tempting.
  21. I take no pleasure in saying it because of how much I liked the writing, the storytelling, the acting and the visuals, but so many aspects of the gameplay were either so blatantly unfinished or ridiculously ill-advised that it became too frustrating to play for much more than an hour at a time. It's a crying shame because the potential was certainly there, the plot is very well executed and hits some in depth and very tragic notes that I dare say the bigger Wars stories would usually tend to skip over. I suppose there's a chance, if it does well sales-wise, that we may see a more polished sequel in the near future.

I reached the halfway point last night, planning on finishing up over the next couple of days. The emphasis seems to have shifted somewhat from the city and the fans to a "fly on the wall" style documentary primarily centred in the boardroom, with the series' trump card of course being our pursuit of Will Grigg last January. Not that the Donald and Methven show isn't grotesquely entertaining, it obviously is, I just can't help thinking that it's a little at odds with what we keep hearing about the club being "given back" to the fans. Perhaps needless to say though, it's still compulsive viewing.
