House of the Dragon (2022)
Viserys is the most interesting character. Also the best acting work, it's not easy to make a weak king truly compelling. In general though I feel like the House of the Dragon cast is collectively much weaker than the Game of Thrones cast. Admittedly Game of Thrones got very lucky with some unknowns who turned out to be good actors with great star power.

The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022)
For all the complaints about the casting, I actually really like this cast. The huge issue is the terrible writing, which seems to get worse with each new episode. Some of the writing for Galadriel was truly awful in episode four.

BZ'ers talking models at the Bar
I think she looked best up until Mulholland Falls. She had already lost a bit of weight by the time she did A Beautiful mind. But her run in the 1990s that includes Career Opportunities, The Rocketeer, Mulholland Falls, ... Arguably she was the most attractive woman working in Hollywood over that stretch.

@Cult Icon You like Liza, right?

Priscilla has gotten a tiny bit thicker again. Good for her, there was a period there where she seemed to have lost quite a bit of weight?

House of the Dragon (2022)
If the theory is true that this is their version of Benjen Blackwood, that kid is going to be a bad-ass when he grows up.

House of the Dragon (2022)
There are theories about who this kid might be and whether or not he will return after the time jump. (Most popular theory being that he is their version of young Benjen Blackwood). Favorite scene of the episode. @Cult Icon Apparently Alicent is a much more interesting character once she is played by Olivia Cooke. Several reviewers who have seen more episodes have mentioned this. I agree that the young actress who is currently portraying that character is a bit light-weight and not very interesting.

Thanks! Fantastic shoot. Girl has really been underused by Guess considering how perfect she is for their brand.

The "What Are You Thinking About Right Now?" PIP
Probably has more to do with matching the dub to the lips moving. "Eighty-five" is much shorter than "quatre-vingt-cinq". They probably struggled to match the lip movements up properly to the dub. So they used "soixante-cinq" instead.

I was in my first year of university when Phantom Menace was released. I too was looking forward to it. And let down with the actual film, unfortunately.

Not sure how you even enforce such a thing, unless you have cameras all over the place.

I never interpreted this as "mercy" from the Predator. He is a hunter who likes to go up against dangerous prey. But I think he did not kill her because she was pregnant, the same way a human hunter might spare a pregnant doe.

House of the Dragon (2022)
I have rewatched some classic GoT scenes on YT earlier this week and it really lays bare my problems with House of the Dragon. They are just utterly without charm and fun. Like just say Arya and the Hound's walkabout through the Seven Kingdoms. There is nothing like that in House and it's also not clear where it could come from, with the characters we have currently been introduced to.

Predator II was rather poorly received by critics. I thought it was okay at the time, but not nearly as good as the original film. Anyway, they changed Galadriel's backstory to fit her into their narrative. I can see Tolkien purists hating that. What I cannot get is them accusing her of being a Mary Sue when she is canonically like top three or top four most powerful character in the original trilogy. You cannot at the same time insist that Tolkien's vision is respected and then complain that Galadriel is too powerful or skilled. On the subject of changes being made from Tolkien, if the Stranger who landed with the Harfoots is either meant to be Gandalf or one of the Blue Wizards, then that would mean they are messing majorly with the time line there too.

Leonardo DiCaprio (GENERAL DISCUSSION)
Huh, Kristen doesn't really seem to defend Leo. She's not attacking him either. She mostly seems to argue against the notion that women lose their value over the age of 25.

So who else is in that clique? I think Scarlett Leithold too? And Lily Easton?

He cannot be Gandalf according to the time line. It's too early for Gandalf's appearance. But they have changed a lot already. So it's possible.
