The problem with activism through SISE is this (besides the obvious insanity of it): The (hard) left already thinks your magazine is problematic. You will not appeal to the mainstream/center by trying to force PC ideas down their throats. So it's hard for me to figure out who these editorial choices (in terms of body positivity and inclusion I guess) are supposed to reach.

Never understood MJ's "activism through Swimsuit Issue". What I understand even less is that the powers that be have let her continue this nonsense for as long as she has.

She has started a family and seemed to be done with modeling for a while before that. I think she mentioned that companies were still calling her in for jobs years after she had officially quit the business. I remember reading somewhere (here or someplace else) that Nelly definitely still wanted to work with her too but she was just done with modeling full stop.

I see! So it's likely she feels self-conscious about that. Well whatever she is comfortable with, it's not like a model SHOULD smile in photographs/videos. It's just weird to have one who almost never does it, I guess.
