Led by the loathsome yet funny and touching child-star Benjie, we witness the convoluted world of shallow, selfish celebrities and their minions, all of whom are about to be manipulated and destroyed by the young woman who literally represents the fruit of their twisted machinations, Agatha, Benjie’s tormented, apparently psychotic sister. As much as it is a sharp, comic look at a vacant and corrupt world, MAPS TO THE STARS is also a haunting ghost story. CAST: Julianne Moore, Robert Pattinson, John Cusack, Mia Wasikowska, Olivia Williams, Sarah Gadon, Evan Bird Promo stills

The epic action of "Edge of Tomorrow" unfolds in a near future in which an alien race has hit the Earth in an unrelenting assault, unbeatable by any military unit in the world. Major William Cage (Tom Cruise) is an officer who has never seen a day of combat when he is unceremoniously dropped into what amounts to a suicide mission. Killed within minutes, Cage now finds himself inexplicably thrown into a time loop-forcing him to live out the same brutal combat over and over, fighting and dying again...and again. But with each battle, Cage becomes able to engage the adversaries with increasing skill, alongside Special Forces warrior Rita Vrataski (Emily Blunt). And, as Cage…

David Michod directed Animal Kingdom, Hesher, and now The Rover, coming out this summer. His movies tend to be similar to fellow Australian John Hillcoat's, gritty and violent with lots of questions about morality. It stars the always awesome Guy Pearce, but also Robert Pattinson. Since I'm not a 14 yr old girl, I'm probably in the minority when I say I really like Pattinson, find him charming, and think he has a lot of potential. I could see him breaking out of his teen heartthrob image and developing a career more like Heath Ledger's. Excited!

Ridley Scott's The Counselor, from a script by Cormac McCarthy, stars Michael Fassbender as the title character, a slick lawyer who is madly in love with Laura (Penelope Cruz). He asks her to marry him, and she agrees, though she is unaware that serious financial troubles have prompted him to fund a drug deal with a shady but established middle man named Westray (Brad Pitt), that could bring in millions. I do not have high expectations for it yet, but a war film centered around armored and mechanized warfare is rather rare and deserves mention. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fury_(2014_film) The story and the unit patch instantly reminds me an ill fated raid launched by General Patton to save US prisoners-of-war: Could this film be about Patton's raid??? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Task_Force_Baum Set photos: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2439334/Brad-Pitt-turns-English-countryside-warzone-location-Shirburn-new-film-Fury-Shia-…
